I've heard people claim that it is the best thing for the digestive system. Does the water have to be cold or warm?

my 2 cents...

drinking cold water first thing in the morning may cause stomach cramps.

i've also read that a person loses more weight if he drinks warm water with his meal instead of cold water. Very Happy

Do to health reasons I can no longer drink caffine. So I drink a lot of water. That gets quite boring so I drink lemon water more often. I also dilute any juice I drink with at least some water.

In the morning I try to have warm water first, then add lemon + honey. My stomach is ok with it. It keeps my skin bright :P

LizaA,

I was shocked too! Especially the fact that drinking warm water is better than cold water for weight loss!

i love to drink cold water during meals and always thought it doesn't make a difference or cold water is better. Figured that drinking cold water means the body would burn off more calories to warm up the water to our body temperature!

My jaws dropped when i heard on tv that drinking warm water during meal times instead of cold water is better for weight lost!

Thanks for the tip Avalange. I've been doing it for the past week & notice it curbs my caffeine intake, too.

I have recently started drinking room temperature bottled water.

I can get a lot more water down if it's lukewarm. I hate cold water!

girls, i really need your expert opinions here.

i've been taking 1 tbsp of lemon juice every morning (on an empty stomach) without breakfast. everything was fine for 2 weeks.

now i'm getting cramps during the days and can't help wondering if it's gastric due to the lemon juice.

can someone please help me out on this?

1) do you girls take food after the morning lemon drink?

2)is it possible to get gastric due to the lemon juice?

thanks!

Thought this info might be helpful:

How Much Water Do You Need to Drink Today

Water is often over-looked as a nutrient. People who do not drink enough water feel lethargic, have headaches, muscle aches and cramps. Not sure how much water you should drink each day? If you are getting enough water, your urine should be very light colored (almost clear) and you probably will be urinating more frequently than you are used to.

This calculator will help you determine how much water you need to drink each day. Although you can get some of your water need from the foods you eat, the best source for water is plain, fresh drinking water. Herbal teas, low-sugar soy beverages, rice beverages and milk are also good sources. Fruit juices and soft drinks are OK, however you may add excess calories with the added sugar. Soups will add lots of water too, just remember that canned soups usually contain high amounts of sodium.

Hydration calculator located at:
