I'm looking at the Dermalogica microexfoliator,Juice Apple Peel and the Aspirin mask (used as an exfoliant).

I've got some light marks I want to get rid of from these "bumps" I developed, but I don't want to irritate my skin and develop new bumps.

Will any of these products work for me? Will they be safe for sensitive/dry skin? Will they fade marks?

Any other better suggestions?

Thanks!

I wasn't too crazy about the Dermalogica microexfoliator, though others have raved about it. The aspirin mask always makes me sneeze like crazy even though I used aloe or yogurt to hold it together. I had great lightening results with the Neutrogena advanced solutions acne mark fading peel. I saw it reviewed on here not too long ago and tried it out.

I've only tried the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. I've used it three times and it's amazing. My scars are fading and I noticed that it helps my acne heal faster too. I'm currently using the regular formulation. They also carry the peel in a sensitive skin formulation.

Yeah, I have to try that one, I think I'm going to try the one from CVS, the green apple peel from Juice organics as it's supposedly as good as the original?

I'm scared the apple peel is too harsh for my skin....and i feel like aspirin is more for oilier skin...

<sigh> don't know what to use.

Go to Sephora and get a sample. That way you can do a test patch to see how your skin responds to the peel. Smile

I'm using the Avene exfoliator and it has very tiny exfoliating grains that do the job well but aren't too abrasive.

The aspirin mask can be very soothing and hydrating, it just depends on the ingredients you use. Actually, the other day I saw I was starting to develop some patches of dry skin on my face, but after an aspirin mask the dry patches were gone and my skin was soft and dewy. Just use moisturizing ingredients like cream and honey!

I would suggest the Microfoliant, even though you will not be able to use it daily as it might dry out your dry skin. Another suggestion would be for an enzyme mask like say Pevonia Enzymo Spherides mask. The Dermalogica exfoliating mask also gets good feedback here.

I agree with Mabsy on the Dermalogica. I use it occasionally on my very finicky skin and I like it because I can adjust the amount of exfoliation by the amount of water I add to it, and how long I leave it on. It'll take time to see a change in the marks but it's never given me any irritation bumps.

I have pretty sensitive skin and have used PSF's pumkin enzyme mask twice in a week. I really like it! PSF's website says that it isn't for sensitive skin so I was a bit wary/worried about the outcome - but I've been very pleased. Smooth skin, very gentle exfoliator.

Otherwise , of the ones you've listed I've only tried the Aspirin mask....many times. I found out the hard way not to use it more than once a week - although skin gets baby smooth, especially if you make it with youghurt, it does have a tendency to break me out a bit...
