hi there,
are you talking about the bio oil that comes in a white and orange box and is recommended for scars, stretch marks etc?? If it is, then my BF used bio oil for a scar he had between his eyebrows (a large one, and a looooong story), but it worked really well for him - the scar has basically gone and hes 31, with leathery type skin because his trade sees him outside and his gender sees him hopeless with using sunscreen. He only spot-treated though, and I never used it for skincare myself though..... |

Hi Inteloper!
I'm currently using the Bio Oil for a few weeks on a very stubborn surgical scar (most have faded completely on their own, but this one just wants to stay pink!). I am seeing some improvement, so that is encouraging...nothing else I tried was fading it, and this stuff seems to be doing the job! Like Melissa, I've never used it for skincare, either...

I had this.. but lent it to a friend for some burns scars (she was a chef and had oil splatter scars) and never saw it again.  Guess she liked it. I used it on my face a couple of times but never got to test long enough before "losing" it. |

Wow, after finding the ingredients I am glad I never used this long term on my face (lucky the friend nicked it!):
Paraffinum Liquidum, Triisononanoin, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Isopropyl Myristate, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Lavandula Angustifolia, Rosmarinus Officinalis, Calendula Officinalis, Helianthus Annuus, Glycine Soja, BHT, Bisabolol, Parfum, CI 26100.
Isopropyl Myristate is a known pore blocker and the one ingredient I religiously avoid.. wonder why I never noticed it when I purchased.. oh, maybe it was BEFORE I discovered EDS.
It is supposed to be good for:
Scars
Helps reduce the appearance of both new and old scars.
Stretch Marks
Helps reduce the possibility of stretch marks forming during periods of rapid change in body size, such as pregnancy, adolescence and weight loss. Helps reduce the appearance of existing stretch marks.
