Gosh this is so weird that EVERYONE I know who read the book said it was amazing and such a good read. My hubby took it everywhere with him including the bathroom. My friends, brother, sisters, in -laws all loved it. I feel I'm the last person on earth who hasn't read it. They are all dying to see the movie.
I did get it and I got the illustrated version, everyone said that is the best way to go. Saves time looking all over the internet for these references. But when I bought it a few months ago, I had no idea that a movie was coming, lol! |

as ive said i work at a movie theatre and there were so many religious "freaks" hanging around the property telling customers they were going to hell if they saw the movie. blah, the movie is FICTION! i also wonder if they think watching the movie is a sin, then reading the book would as well. Since they obviously couldnt have ever read the book, they must get this information from hearsay..Being a person that is pretty much anti-religion, i find it very humorous someone would take something so seriously. even friends of mine that are religious think its comical...but i guess if you truely are that strict with believing the roots of christianity, you'll take even something fictional as wrong to even consider as possible.
I really enjoyed the movie. Though i am aware it was fiction, i truely believe something like this (not necessarily as drawn to this extreme) could have happened as there are many mysteries to the past. |

Yeah, HOW EXHAUSTING to take life and such so seriously. I love anything that provokes some thought. To be threatened by that sort of thing...man. |

Haven't read Angels and Demons. How is it related as a trilogy? Are the plots linked in some way? Only read Da Vinci Code and wasn't too impressed. I agree that it wasn't an original theme so it kinda lost its shine on me. Contemplating whether I should buy the Angels and Demons. Is it any better than Da Vinci Code? |
I haven't even read the DaVinci Code yet (yup...I'm one of those rare people). I didn't even know that it was part of a series. |

The movie was ok for me Very entertaining. I loved Magnito as Teabing (haha). My BF loved it (since he had not read the book). So I guess it's still worth watching |

I don't know if I want to see the movie. I hate when I read a great book and they make it into a movie that is mediocre at best.
Like Memiors of a Geisha, man I loved that novel. the movie was good only that the scenery was pretty but that is it. Books are so much more descriptive and enjoyable. Imean they explained a little bit about Japanese culture but no where near as much as the book did and that was what was so enjoyable about it. |

Anyone not familiar with Christian history or have never read the book will be confused with the movie. This is the feedback i get from all my friends. The history portrayed in the movie is interesting though, showcasing beautiful old buildings and of course, the art. Also interesting references to Constantine. |

Read the book but it's been awhile and I tend to forget. I remember while reading it I thought it was a lot like "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" which I read years ago...and then there was the law suite . Don't know if I'll get a chance to see the movie have a very busy work schedule this summer.
Also read "Angles and Demons". I think I liked it better because there was a lot of blood and guts...love blood and guts. The ending was, I thought, predictable and somewhat silly.
I have not heard that they are part of a trilogy. What's the third book? |

I'm Christian and I enjoyed angels & demon, da vinci code. It was an entertaining read.
I have read the book and watched the movie. I liked it, I guess because the review was bad I went without much expectations and I end up enjoying it. It was a bit slow at the beginning, but hey...that's a whole lot of information there. |

to be honest i was raised a lutheran but never cared even the slightest to learn about christianity. I know bits and pieces but maybe from taking history classes and learning about those eras here and there helped me understand the movie perfectly. you only really need to know the basics to get the drift. |
