pores? I have sensitive skin and am new to mineral makeup and have been applying samples like a mad woman
What concerns me is the sensation that the powder particles are in my pores and are sharp. Does anyone else have this sensation? |

tisa I have never tried mineral makeup but I did have this happen with the Lola Cosmetics loose powder. It felt like the powder had sharp paricles that were cutting my skin. I have sensitive skin but I don't think that I was a sensitive skin reaction. I think that the powder was just not good. |

Teresa-this is exactly what my skin felt like. But it wasn't followed by a "purging" reaction - where my skin makes extra oil and literally pushes the irritant out of my pores.
I will continue carefully and apply a patch test and see if there is any further reaction. My cheeks are so red it looks as if I'm blushing - but I love the idea of MMU and hope that my next batch of samples will be different. |

I've been using minerals for 6-7yrs & have never had this experience.
What brand are you using?
I had to switch brands because my skin can't handle bismuth. Read the ingredient list.
The Luxe brand looks really good, can't wait to try it! But I just ordered some off of ebay called "My Minerals" & so far so good. |

I have been using lilylolo and after doing follow up patch tests I realize that the sensitivity is due to the semi-kabuki brush and a cleanser I have been sampling that is way to harsh for my sensitive skin.
so - thankfully - I will continue on with trying to find the perfect MMU match . |

I've been using several different brands of MMU for several years and never felt a sharpness on my skin. If there's something that is an irritant I canget itchy or prickly feelings. Would you mind telling us what brand you've been trying?
Pure Luxe's texture was pretty good but I couldn't find a good color match. My favorite is from BareFaced Minerals. |

Stardust - I just ordered from barefaced because of the positive reviews here.
The lilylolo wasn't the cause of the sensitivity and it is most definitely a gel cleanser I've been sampling unaware of the ingredients - i am allergic to SLS's and the cleanser contains it.
Have just posted a rec request for am + pm cleansers that will be luscious to use as well as effective. |

No problems with my Youngblood minerals. They're micronized powders so they're pretty silky. I love the glowy dewy finish MMU gives me. |
