I have discoloration from old acne as well as from mole removal near the eye area, and I was wondering if anyone has a homemade/DIY formula from natural sources(ie. fruit peels?) to treat these hyperpigmentation spots. -oily light skin.
thanks in advance. |

Maybe DIY Asprin Mask or something with 2%Hydroquinone will fade away the spot. |

I was recently reading about this in another forum... and for sensitive or darker skin try something with a mix of kojic acid, glycolic and vitamin C.
Serious Skin Car C Brighten has these ingredients and is sold on hsn, if you want to check it out. It has rave reviews. |

Roadtonowhere was probably referring to Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. It's a mask and available at EDS.

As for Vitamin C, you can either buy a serum or make your own. The Vit C tablets generally have fillers so you'll need to buy pure Vit C (ascorbic acid) powder and dissolve it in water. The DIY thread has lot of discussions on recipes. |

i've found glycolic peels and Neutrogena acne mark fading peel quite effective at fading my hyperpigmentation marks. I've tried the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel ... to me it's so mild i really didn't see any difference. |

Don't these things prevent or limit tanning too cause they are tyrosinase inhibitors.
You can try licorice root or bearberry extract for hyperpigmentation.... For scars try Immortelle Helichrysum oil and rose hip seed oil.

Kojic acid is highly sensitizing and can cause skin reactions. I'd go with the other choices like vitamin C and licorice. |
