Hi Tia
I buy Avene sunscreens from two websites: beautytarget.com & tubotica.com
Depending on the total price and weight, one could be cheaper than the other. I usually compare and then decide which website to buy from.
Be aware that FDA and US custom start detaining packages with European sunscreens, FedEx may not be a good shipping choice.
BTW, I like Avene sunscreen too! |

Hi Bellasera,
Actually I saw that Avene is sold in the east at cvs pharmacy up in Massachusett. I have a cousin up there and I think I might ask her to purchase this for me, since you mentioned that US customs may detain the packages if via fed ex. Thanks for the info. |

Really?? That's good news. The shipping fee is really annoying. I have a friend in NY. Maybe I will ask her to check too.
Just realized that TIA is probably not your name -- it is an acronym!! I have a friend whose name is Tia. So I just assumed... Sorry |

I just purchased my first avene sunscreen from tubotica. It took about 10 days. I am from the states and when I ordered, the site automatically gave me global shipping instead of fedex, so there is no choice now. Make sure if you go with tubotica to check out their 10 free samples page. They have a list of what they currently have and you can choose what you want from it. I just asked for all of their available sunscreen choices and got some LRP and bioderma varieties to try - yippee! |

Just fyi...the avene sunscreens sold in CVS are not the same as the ones from Europe. Since FDA hasn't approve certain chemical filters, the ones from Europe still offer superior protection than the ones sold in the states. |

Bellasera - I rather you mistakenly call me Tia (cute name), so no problem.
Mtview - I went to the Avene website and saw the states where they sold their products. When I saw CVS pharmacy, I was like is this for reals. I called their customer service and the rep said yes, go to those store. But your probably right though. Seems hard to find the european sunscreen in the states. Called around some derm offices and they sale the LRP Anthelios but not the SPF 60, only lower SPF. Supposedly not allowed here. Oh well. Thank you though.
My search continues for a good sunscreen. Was reading about Shisheido w/ SPF 50. |
