Does anyone have any recs for oil controling gels/serums? I was looking at the decleor or the caudalie one. I tried the monostat chaffing cream this morning and it did not work out well. My face got oilier and it seemed like my makeup just disappeared. I knew it was too good to be true! |

Very low strength Retin A works wonders for me or DDF has some glycolic moisturizers. |

A toner is really benefical for oily skin and I like to follow with any of the following:
Jojoba Oil
Decleor Ylang Ylang or Neroli Aromaessence
Dr Hauschka Normalising Day Oil |

Hi! I agree with Rosebud that a toner is very helpful. After that PSF Balancing Oil or Decleor Ylang Tlang should really help too. Also, like Carekate recommends, dusting some Jurlique Rose Silk dust on under AND over your make up will also keep the oilies at bay. HTH! |

I never thought of using oil on my face since I have oily skin. Does Ylang Ylang oil feel light or heavy? |

For some reason I thought the jurlique lavander dust was better for oily skin than the rose. Does it make a difference?
I am currently using in the AM:
MD Forte Glycare Cleanser
MD Forte Glycare II Lotion
IS Clinical Proheal
Shiseido Sunscreen
PM:
Amore Pacific Foam Cleanser/Juice Beauty GA Cleanser
Yonka PNG Lotion
Yonka Cream 15 and Juvenil
Retin-A Micro
I have always had super oily skin. I am originally from S. Louisiana where it is rediculously humid all year around. I moved to Dallas 6 years ago and the climate is much, much drier. I have had almost normal skin, up until this spring. I suspect that my skin has finally gotten used to the dryer climate and is just getting back to its usual state of being super oily. |

Dermalogica Oil Control Lotion? I like this one although I am not sure exactly how effective it is since I don't have oily skin. |

I use the rose dust instead of the lavender just because I prefer the smell of roses, lol. But I have heard they are about equal in their oil control abilities. |

Liz - Which one do you prefer, PSF Balancing Oil or Decleor Ylang Ylang? I am trying to decide which one to get since summer is here and my face is so oily now. Thanks. |

As far as comparing Ylang Ylang and PSF Balancing Oil, I would say that I like them both about equally. That being said, I prefer to buy the PSF Balancing Oil because it's so much cheaper, LOL. One thing I like about the PSF oil is that the first ingredient is jojoba, which really helps clean out my pores with regular use. |

Thanks Liz! That would be great if it's could control oil and clean out the pores at the same time. With suncreen and hot humid weather in the summer, my pores are constantly clogged, more blackheads and pimples too. |

I find that ACV toner really helps with oil and pores I mix my ACV with my non alcoholic Mario Badescu toner. |

I hope something like this will help, Tidieu! Just remember, if you try one of these oils, be sure to use only a tiny bit. Two small drops are enough to cover my whole face, believe it or not! |

Thanks for the tips Liz! It's hard to imagine 2 small drops could cover the whole face. How do you apply it? Put the oil on your face one drop at a time and spread it quickly? |

I think I probably try PSF oil first since it's much cheaper. |

To apply it, I put two drops in the palm of my hand, and then use my fingers to apply it little bit by bit to my face. Of course, it took me a few applications to get it right, but you win some and lose some, right? Hope this helps--- let me know if you have any more questions! |

Aww..man, if only I had read this before I placed my last order. Now the PSF Balancing Oil has to go on my wish list. |
