I bought this couple years ago...I only use it when I found there were lines or flakes after applying my foundation and powder ('coz I've dry skin). Just to smooth out the imperfections. |

*bump* - I need to pick up some more secret brightening powder from the Laura Mercier counter....I was thinking of giving her product called "Secret Finish" a whirl...Have any other members tried this? Would love to hear what you think!

It's good if you use MMU or heavy foundations and have a tendency to get chalky or powdery looking and prefer a dewier finish. You basically rub a little between your fingers and pat it over the areas that look unnatural or too made up. It's great if you were doing your makeup in indoor light and later you realize you had a heavy hand in the MMU.
Some people with dry skin like to use it everyday to make sure their makeup doesn't look too matte or dry, but I really only used it for mess ups, and since I don't typically wear much powder, I didn't have enough use for it. But I would definitely recommend it if you like a dewier look than your fav makeup can give you. |

oh yay! glad I could help. It's definitely one of those mystery products that no one knows what it does...Pudoodles, if you're going to get it, I would recommend holding out for beauty week at saks or neiman m. if you can, LM usually has amazing GWP that week, and so do the stores if you spend something like $80. I think both stores are doing it the first week in March. |

Just to say I really like to apply a little Secret Finish on my cheekbones for a soft dewy effect, almost like a subtle highlight effect without shimmer, just a sheen. Hope that makes sense... |

yes, it does make a great highlighter for daytime when you don't want to lok like a discoball in bright sunlight. |
