Has anybody gone to a psychic to get their fortune read before? I havent gone but am very curious. I've had some friends who got their tea leaves read and they said the psychic was very accurate. I know that there are many phoney psychics who try to make money off of people, but are there actually real psychics out there?

If you are a person who affected by other people easily than don't go!! Believe me, if something came out good your life won't change much. But you'd go crazy and ruin your life if something came out bad!!!

I agree. If your easily influenced by what people say, don't go. If it's not good news, than you'll be worrying about your future and so forth. I've gone and it can be quite depressing. They give you good and bad. But if it's for entertainment and nothing else, than it'll be fun.

I went to a psychic once and she told me that I should never go overseas to work because there would be danger there for me. Well, I went overseas to work anyway, met my husband, and here I am happy and healthy...

I've gone to about 4 or 5 I think ... the last visit being probably 6 or 7 years ago. None of them ever seemed really accurate. There was one time I went (I wrote about this in another recent post as well) where it was like she told me everything I wanted to hear ... seriously, it felt like she was reading my mind. I was so happy that my future was going to turn out just how I wanted (it was all about a relationship and where I wanted it to go). Well, about a year later I went to see the same person and suddenly it was like what she saw for me had changed.

I wouldn't go to another. I figure that maybe I don't WANT to know what will happen. I'll let fate decide that. And I think sometimes hearing things can affect the decisions you make in life ... maybe you'll have some missed opportunities because someone told you that it wasn't in your future.

However, I do believe there are some people who are gifted and can tell things to some degree. But I also believe there alot of people who are just good at reading people (like facial expressions, things you might say, etc.).

If you do decide to go, I agree with qisme615 ... go for entertainment and fun! Smile

My mom loves to go to psychics. The last few times she told my mom I was definitely going to be a teacher. I just enrolled in law school so I hope she's wrong! hehe

Personally they give me the creeps, I would never go to one.

I went to one before - she was trying to illicit a response from me and I was careful with my behaviour. I didn't want her to react and base her "predictions" on what I say and how I act.

A friend recommend her to me, and she felt that she was legitimate. When I went to see her, there were a few things that were a little bit bizarre and didn't make any sense - none of which is or was true when I had my reading.

So far she has been incorrect on all counts, and I think she was responding to the person's non verbal cues...

You believe what you want to believe, right?

I don't think I'd ever go back to one. Plus, there are things that we just shouldn't know about.

I'm sure there are talented people out there who can do this sort of thing, and by no means am I discounting their talents. Its just not for me (right now, anyway).

I went to someone about 8 years ago, she wasn't very accurate. I wouldn't go back...even to someone else.
