Were you referring to the Flawless Skin Perfecting Serum? I've been eyeing on that too. I've tried their other serums (Age Defiance Firming Serum, Time Restore, Time Repair and Humitone HP). I get my Aloette stash from the Shopping Channel (www.tsc.ca).
This was what Aloette had on their website to describe the Flawless serum.
Flawless Skin Perfecting Serum is a combination age defying serum, skin primer and pore minimizer to provide the appearance of flawless skin. This unique formula contains marine spheres that actually react to the moisture in your skin, and then expand to fill in lines and wrinkles. And, while this remarkable triple-action product immediately enhances appearance, it also serves as a makeup primer that gives a velvety finish to your skin and extends the wear of makeup. Finally, a proprietary blend of azelaic acid and salicylic acid go to work to unclog pores - the only true way to reduce their size in the long run!
Let me know how it is if you decide to try it. |

If you are referring to the Flawless skin perfecting serum it is not really oily. When it is first applied it seems a bit oily but absorbs quickly into the skin. I have oily acne prone skin w/ pores and this has helped the pore size and no extra oil on my face.
The formula will tend to seperate in the bottle...oil comes out with just a little serum. I called Aloette and was told they are working on upgrading the bottle/dispenser. She suggested I stir the ingredients, shake well & store upside down. It works!! I've only stirred once. Now I just keep it inverted and don't even shake.
I find it is very expensive so I may try something but don't know what!!

laine, do you live in Canada? If so, you can get the two pack of the Flawless serum for $55 from the Shopping Channel.
Also, does that serum really even out your complexion? |

Yen, I live in the states. I need to check their website. I believe in the states it is shop at home. I checked Aloette site & it was $65 or $75.
It does even out the skin tone & helps with pore reduction. The time repair & time restore really helped my discoloration. I had a red circle of sundamage on my check that was impossible to cover and these 2 products removed it.
Have you used any of their other stuff? |

I've tried a lot of Aloette stuff. They tend to offer pretty good kits on the Shopping Channel.
Here are the products that I've tried so far aside from the serums that I've listed above (I've bolded my favourites):
-Cellular Day Defense
-Maximum Moisture Complex
-Decollete Restore Firming Creme
-Eye Restore Complex
-Restorative Enzyme Peel
-Skin Refining Toner
-Clarifying Facial Wash
-Warming Pumpkin Energizing Masque
-Skin Renewal Mud Masque
-Line Control Eye Gel
-Nutri-Hydrating Mist
-Radiance Skin Care Supplement
-Redefine PS Advanced Nourishing Masque
-Nutri-C Moisture Lotion
-Night Recovery Complex
-Essential Cleansing Oil
I find most of their moisturizers to be too heavy for me because I have oily skin. The Cellular Day Defense gives a glow to my skin. The masques help with those annoying dry patches of skin that never seems to go away. I thought the Radiance Supplements were a waste of money. They totally didn't do anything for me.
I'm very interested in that Flawless serum. I'll probably give it a try if I see it in a kit and reasonably priced. |

I don't know if it is still available, but I purchased the Aloette Flawless Skin Perfecting Serum Duo-2 Full size for $19.99 USD at shopathometv.com
I have never used Aloette before other than their make-up brushes, which are pretty decent, and have read some rave reviews on this serum.
I will try it, if I don't like it , I will sell the other one on ebay and probably get more than I paid for both. |

Laine, while I will not knock Aloette products as I have enjoyed using them and my son is currently using the clarifying ones for his acne, I have been moved to change over to the Ice Elements line.
Ice Elements uses a base of pharmaceutical grade aloe and Antarticine - http://www.iceelements.com/
I cannot believe how wonderful their products are!
Their products are the best I have ever used.
So far I have used their 2 minute miracle exfoliating gel (amazing!), blueberry mask, cream cleanser, toner, anti aging serum, eye cream, normal to dry facial lotion and body lotion.
The customer service is also amazing! If you call in to take advantage of the 2 mm sample offer you will see how nice the owners are! |

I am very glad that you decided to order the sample... I am sure that you will just fall in love with it, like I did.
I know that I keep saying this, but I just cannot get over how quickly I can see and feel a difference in my skin after using their products!
Please let me know what you think of your samples and the cs!
Take care. |

| Although I loved the customer service over at iceelements, the product is not for everyone. Shelly was fab at trying to figure out why the cleansers created itching bumps in the hundreds all over my face. Although the ingredients should not irritate my skin, it did. I tried the products over a month and a half ago and I still have itchy bumps I am trying to clear up. I hope others have success with this line, just did not work for me. |

| Ice Elements is going to be on the Shopping Channel (Canadian) on August 11th. I'm going to watch one of the shows to see what the hype is. |

bergquis, I am sorry that it did not work for you!
I know that certain things just do not work for everyone... Like, I cannot apply Vitamin C topically... It totally bites, but it does not agree with me and dries out my skin. I thought I could use up the products that I purchased on other parts of my body so they would not go to waste, but within a couple of days I got itchy dry bumps... ugh...
I compensate for not being able to use the Vitamin C topically by taking it orally and using the Blueberry fusion mask by Ice Elements as it is full of anti-oxidants. Thankfully there is an alternative for me!
Yen, I heard that the Canadian Shopping Channel has the shows online too. The shows are going to be an hour long, so I might tune in to see her demos.
Have a great day! |
