OK ladies, I have 15,642 points with my credit card company to use up in their gift shop. I have no hope of ever reaching my goal of the Guerlain 60min facial (requires 35,000 points and it took me about 3 yeras to save up this 15,000 points LOL)
BUT they now have some L'Occitane goods. Here are my choices and I want some feedback on recommendations (and perhaps why):
Lavender Shampoo 300ml & Conditioner 250ml (10,000 points) - $32 value
Shea Butter Hand Cream 150ml (8,000 points) - $25 value
Set of 6 x 100g Shea Butter Soaps (8,000 points) - $36 value
Lavender set: Linen Water 500ml spray & 2 x 125gm Bonne Mere Soaps (5,000 points) - $24 value
At the moment I am leaning towards the Linen Water set and Hair Care set....anyone think these ones are rubbish? |

Personally I wouldn't bother with the linen spray. I've had it before and the smell goes away very quickly. The shea hand cream is their best seller, it's also my hand cream of choice, it's really thick and wonderful. I would also recommend the shea butter soaps. I wouldn't be without either of those two items.
Hope that helps. |

I haven't tried the lavender shampoo and conditioner, but I've tried other shampoos and conditioners from L'Occitane and they were just lovely, so I think there's a good chance you'll really enjoy them. |

The hand cream is a must!!
I also love the soaps, I use these for my face when I go away
I would not bother with the linen spray and cannot comment on the shampoo & conditioner. |

Those who have used the linen spray, is it one you can use for ironing as well?
I think the smell is actually meant to go away fairly quick.. I was thiking of it for ironing or spraying the linen drawers from time to time (somehow in our current apartment any linen that is not used within a month of washing develops a kind of storage "fragrance" ) |

Another vote for the shea butter soaps - they are usable right to the end and don't go all soggy. They also give a beautifully, soft, smooth, creamy lather and smell lovely.
The handcream's pretty good,too.
No experience with the others, sorry.
One other L'Occitane product I really like (don't know whether it's on your available list, though) is the Sweet Lemon Bath/Shower Cream. Smells gorgeous and feels really gentle.
They also used to make an incredibly gorgeous Orange and Cinnamon Eau de Toilette. I believe that's discontinued now, alas. They've insanely replaced it with something that doesn't smell anywhere near as good. |

I like the hand cream as well, and have to say I like L'Occitane haircare, but the lavender one's a bit too drying I think. |

I love the L'occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream.
Hands "speak" our age. Shea Butter is used traditionally by African woman to soothe and smooth skin exposed to Earth's fiercest ultraviolet conditions, and now can help relieve and restore ours.
Massage this silky treatment into hands to counter dryness and restore circulation. Then your hands will just like a baby's. |
