Hi everyone!
I made my first batch of Vitamin C last night using the Aocorbyl Phosphate which is -
"A new, stable Vitamin C derivative that overcomes the oxidation problems associated with ascorbic acid in cosmetic formulations. Recommended use 1-2%, depending on intended application. To use, dissolve it in cold water and then add during the Third Stage of Cream production or up to 10% in Skin-lightening Cream. Also used in Rejuvenating Creams, as well as Sun Care products for its UVA protection properties"
I followed the recipe on EDS and put it in a brown bottle. It seemed to disolve almost immediately!
I did the apple test where you slice an apple in half and cover one half in the serum and see whether it degrades. The one without the serum browned and the one with stayed fresh looking.
My questions are -
1.Does this mean its now safe to use on my face?
2.Should I try it on one bit of my face first?
3. Does it go under moisturiser?
thanks for your time

hi there...
new to the place...
from what i know...it is always safe to do a spot test first to make sure your skin is not irritated....
try the product on one small portion of your face or on your neck...or juz behind the ears...
if there is no irritation or anything...it should be safe...
as for apply before or after moisturiser...
think vitC is supposed to go before moisturiser...
by the way...what is EDS u mentioned?
Care to share the receipe for the serum? |

awe you poor thing...don't be sad!
this is how I do it...
open up another internet connection, go into EDS (of course)search for whatever thread you want to copy paste, copy the headline of the thread and go back to where you are replying, paste headline and voilá - it's done.
or just copy the headline, and go back to the thread you're answering ... I usually have two open coz otherwise I loose / forget which thread I wanted to answer...
feeling better now candygirl? |
