Hi everyone. Wondering if anyone else with combi skin(can be dry/oily) like me get dry on the face around late midday to evening. While i got a Yonka PNG toner that helps a little, it isnt quite good enough, yet when adding a moisturiser i feel a buildup after 10-20mins. Any suggestions? |

How about a moisturizing spritz? There are many, I haven't tried a lot but I did get some fabulous recs recently here when I asked.

I think this link will take you to the thread if not, a search should bring it up.
I made my own with some glycerin, distilled water, green tea and l ascorbic for preservation. It worked quite well, very light and refreshing. The sprtizes don't disturb makeup much so are perfect for me when I need a bit of moisture half way through the day. I am using some pretty drying products, 2% bha and now rx retinoid so am frequently flaky even though I'm oily. |

Lolli's suggestion is great.
I've tried a whole bunch of commercial mists (Aveda, Scott Barnes, Avene, Lumene, etc) and my favourite is Jurlique's Rose spray.
Smells divine and freshens me up so that my skin AND nose are happy |

I was going to suggest that you pm Candy and ask her about her rosewater/ha spritz. I don't think her website is quite finished yet, but I'm sure you can order it from her. It's really wonderful! |

Hi Wein,
Have you ever tried 100% squalane? The vegetable one is derived from olives, as opposed to sharks... and it is supposed to be closed to our own facial oils so it hydrates without throwing other things out of wack.
You could probably find it at your local health food store.
I have also seen it here (but have never done business with this company) http://squalaneoil.com/bodymoose/shop.html as well as at (this place I trust completely, however it is a bit more expensive) www.iceelements.com
Good luck! |
