Hi All, I think I have some news that may be good. After the depression I've suffered with my skin, if this posting helps one other person, I'll be happy.
As some of you may already know, I exclusively use Obagi for the treatment of skin and the pigmentation that the old acne scars leave behind.
The other day I went into a health food store and the girls there suggested that I try some "Vitex". I got a 2 month supply for AUD$20.00, that's pretty good, so I'll it give a go.
Vitex is good for everything female girls. I googled it, it's good for acne, beast tenderness, fluid retention, mood swings, hot flushes, tension, irritability, abdominal bloating and pelvic congestion. Basically, It's worth giving a go!!!
Unfortunately the Obagi, although it's great for rebalancing the skin and gettin rid of the pigmentation, doesn't do much for new breakouts.
I am also using this ointment called "Kenacombe". I originally starting using this because the Obagi was drying out the mucous membranes inside my nose and I was getting painful sores. I began using it on the acne sores as well, and they are all cleared up Very Happy Very Happy They do suggest that you don't use kenacombe long term on the skin though, as it thins the skin.
Finally, I am also trying a very short cycle of a tetracyclin tablet called, "Vibramycin". I have use one of these before, but it basically caused pigmentation. This is only a 6 - 12 day cycle of the pills though, whereas in the past I use Minamycin for months and months.

So, hopefully something useful comes out of all of that for someone else.
The skin has cleared up for now, and I will stay on the Vitex for quite some time I think!
The acne on my cheeks wasn't as bad as some suffer, but it was very painful and also made my teeth hurt from the infection in that area of the skin, so wish me luck all, and if I've managed to help someone else then Thank God for that.

It really is a terrible problem, but together with advice for each other, maybe we can beat it. I find some of the problem is that we frequent the same doctor for too long and they give us the same stuff that stops being effective. I got onto the Vibramycin, because my doc was closed so I sat for 2 hours and waited for a different doctor!! Thank Goodness I did!

Good Luck to you all,

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
