Avoid the marshmallow "vanishing" cream----- it's waaay to heavy for anyone with oily skin (like me!). I'm absolutely in love with thier avocado hair butter treatment, and their apricot body oil (so yummy!). |

Well, carekate's recommendation has recently converted me to the joys of the Orange Essence Cleanser. |

Orange Facial Cleanser
Banana Hand Cream (my hubby loves this too!)
Coconut Foot Cream (use at night cause it stays kinda greasy on my feet...I put it on then wear socks to bed) |

I like their lip balm but stay away from their cream shadows. They don't stay on well at all and quickly begin to cake and run into the creases and that is on dry skin not even oily. Left me quite disappointed. My friend really liked their hand cream. It smelled nice but I'm not really a handcream person so can't say from experience. |

The Carrot Seed Oil Complexion Mist is amaaaazing. It smells sooooooo good. I use it as a "perfume", on my face to hydrate, and also when I do healings. |

Love the Orange Essence Facial Cleanser... it's got me excited to try more things from them!
The Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is one of my favorites, but I really didn't like their Honey Lip Balm. It didn't really quench my lips and actually made them flake a bit with its texture.
Their Almond Butter Hand Cream is incredibly greasy. When they say a little dab they mean it. I use it at night, only, and wake up with soft hands. Nice on elbows or anywhere you've got a rough patch. But honestly it's not one of the best creams I've used. |

I've been using the avocado pre-treatment on my hair the past two days & my hair is much softer! (Yesterday I left it on my hair all day since I wasn't going out anywhere, when I washed it out I noticed a big difference in my hair texture). |

I have only tried a few of the Burt's bees products in the past, namely the lip balms. However I recently got a sample of the Orange Essence Face Wash and am DEFINITELY picking up a bottle. I am going to have a closer look at the whole line now. I know in the past I have seen the truth on The Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep report of the safety of our products. Burt's Bees always ranks VERY well compared to almost everything I buy. We should all be buying more Burt's Bees for sure. Here's a link to a search for Burt's Bees at the EWG
http://www.ewg.org/reports/skindeep2/search.php?nperpage=10&sbrand=Burt%27s+Bees&sort=&start=10
The Burt's Bees Orange Essence cleanser rates a .6 which is in the low concern category. |

I think I will wait until I am in the store before deciding on anything else, I want to 'sniff test' everything first
Thankyou so much for all your suggestions

I also really like the lemon butter cuticle cream. It smells So good! I use the cinnamint toothpaste, but it's not for everyone. Every once in a while I receive one of those little travel/trial kits, which is a great way to try out some of the other products. I think the kits are pretty cheap. Plus I love to re-use the miniature bottles some of the products come in.
Stay away from those "Wings of Love" rice paper facial tissues for oil-blotting. The clean & clear ones are much better, and the burts had kind of a chalky residue that made me feel like I needed to wash/moisturize my hands after use. I ended up throwing most of them away. |

-Lip Balm (regular not the honey)
-Lip Gloss (Strawberry)
-Lip Shimmer (Nutmeg)
-Banana Hand Cream
-Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme (smells like medicine but so moisturizing)
-Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme
-Baby Bees Buttermilk Lotion
-Coconut Foot Creme
Has anyone tried their new shampoo and conditioner? |

I agree with Olyn about the Wings of Love rice paper. The smell is horrible and the chalky white powder just sits on your face. Not a good thing. |

I desperately want to try their shampoo and conditioner but right now I can't reason buying another bottle of either when I have a closet full. They smell delicious! |

Really? Wow - I feel like I've found a treasure ever since I found the honey lip balm. Actually, my boyfriend found it. I love the grittiness in it; makes me feel like I'm exfoliating my lips every time I put it on. |

For some reason, I've never really liked their Beeswax lip balm, but I LOVE the lemon butter cuticle cream and I'm a new convert to the Orange Essence Facial Cleanser.
I just started using the Royal Jelly Eye Cream, and it's nice. I wasn't using eye cream before, so I don't know what to compare it to. I only use it at night, but it is nice (waxy and balmy, kind of the consistency of a Decleor Balm).
I also just ordered the tomato complexion soap, the tomato toner, the avocado hair treatment, the grapefruit-sugar beet shampoo and conditioner, and the parsley blemish stick (Burts products are on sale all month at Drugstore.com), so I'll comment on those once I try them |

I found the honey lip balm very moisturizing but I couldn't get over the smell. |

Just got the cherry lip gloss. Works great, smells delicious, tastes completely foul when you first put it on but otherwise I don't notice it whatsoever. Not "glossy", though. I'd say a guy could use it. |

I am really not into burt's bees facial products. i ordered a whole bunch of items from their website a couple years ago and ended up returning everything. i like their return policy though. i tried the rose toner (strong), orange cleanser (way too oily for me), marshmallow cream (godawful thick and just sat there), and their eyecream (had to pull at my eyes to apply properly). never again, however, i would try their lip balms, which i haven't as yet. if you want to sample their products, i have seen sample bottles at my local drugstore. |

I only use the lipbalms. This is the first Burt's Bees product I tried and I liked it so much I decided to try some of their other products. I think I tried the Eye Cream, Hand Salve and something else that I don't recall now. All of these products were very irritating for my sensitive skin. Sort of put me off trying anything else from the brand. Although the Carrot Seed Oil Complexion Mist is sounding tempting... |

I've tried a few of their products. I love the Banana Hand Cream. They were all out when I went to repurchase it, so I got the Almond Hand Cream which didn't seem to work as well and smelled just awful, I thought. The Royal Jelly eye cream was very moisturizing but gave me milia and the Avocado Hair Butter did nothing for my hair...it actually made if seem rough & drier |

I love the initial scent of the Almond hand creme, but almost immediately it dries down to an icky play-dough-y smell. And while it was moisturizing, I have found other products to be better all around.
I used the Avocado Hair Treatment for the first time tonight while in the bath. I left it on for 20 minutes or so. I thought it was kind of hard to "massage" into my hair/scalp/roots/end since it was very thick and not very emollient (sp?).
However, my hair feels very full, healthy, and shiny--so maybe it's a good thing. Unfortunately, since my hair takes forever to dry, I kept catching whiffs of it while I was out. It's NOT a strong scent, but I kept smelling it.
Any other thoughts on the Avocado treatment? How often do you all use it? It says to use 1 tbsp... how much do you increase that for long hair? I'm worried about using too much--but maybe I shouldn't be. |
