My old blowdryer stopped working well a few weeks back, so I'd stopped at the drugstore on my way home one day and picked up a new one. But this one is SOOOO loud! I think the brand name is Revlon.

Does anyone have a suggestion on a good blowdryer (not TOO expensive ... hoping to keep it under $50 if possible, but I'd go higher if it was worth it) that doesn't break your eardrums each time you use it? I don't need alot of fancy attachments, just a basic, well made, QUIET blowdryer!

When I was staying in the hotel last week, the blowdryer they had in the rooms was so quiet! I didn't recognize the brand name ... started with an A I think. It might be something that is only supplied to hotel chains maybe.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Very Happy

I would like recommendations too, please! Actually, what I'm looking for is the lightest blowdryer possible. (I have very long hair, and if the dryer is heavy then my arms get tired.) It would also be nice if the opening were slightly narrow so I could give a concentrated blast to my roots to build body. (I tried one out by revlon a few weeks ago that had a REALLY wide mouth, and it just made a big mess of things!)

I saw this while I was in Sephora. I think they had a smaller travel version as well. Do you know if it's fairly quiet? I can't bear to buy another dryer that's super loud. I would spend the $200 if I knew I was getting something of quality AND quiet! If the normal size version is quiet, I wonder if the travel size would be?

I've been eyeing that one for sure. It's just that I've heard that ionic dryers can be harder to use to build body with, since they smooth your cuticle. Me, I have really fine hair, so I need to build A LOT of body...

My sister got a Babyliss Hair Dryer from Ebay for $50. It's amazing. The air doesn't feel hot but yet it dried our hair twice as fast as our old dryer. I already have their ceramic hair straightener and love that too. Smile

You can get tourmaline element hairdryers at Sally Beauty Supply For $50. I almost bought one, but I'm not picky. I have a ionic ceramic Revlon. I guess it's probably noisy. I don't mind! Laughing

i have the t3 and its awsome. comes with a 4 yr warranty. and the whole dryer housing is infused with tourmaline and ceramic so it not only cuts drying time seals in moisture holds color in longer builds body and smooths flyaways! it has a special motor in in from jap that is actually ceramic most so called ceramic dryers are just painted around the nozzle and are sold as ceramic dryers or have regular motors that can cause damage to the hair and just cause it cost more doesnt mean it s ceramic so watch out. the t3 is expensive but honestly well worth the money with the 4 yr warranty thats a really good thing most dnt even have a year. i cld go on and on the t3 flat irons are great too. i know lots about them slso but will save for a later day Smile i have had training classes on a lot of top brands but t3 has stole my heart Very Happy
