Hi! I've been lurking for about a month and finally decided to register and become part of this wonderful community. I've learned a lot here and hope I can return the favor along the way
I'm wondering what your experiences are with buying skincare and makeup from online merchants. Everyone here who's ordered from EDS seems to really happy with the condition of their product and the service and free samples. But how about other online merchants like strawberrynet or cosmeticmall (gee, I hope I'm allowed to post those names). There are so many out there and it's hard to know which are reputable so I'd love to hear your feedback.
p.s. I just made my first such order -- the sample kit from Janson Beckett after reading all the glowing reviews for ACDE here -- and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.
Thanks!

Welcome! The only other places (besides EDS) I've ordered from (skincare wise) is Sephora.com and the Canadian Shopping Channel (tsc.ca). I haven't had any problems so far with any of them.
There were a few I'd wanted to order from in the US, but at the time I was looking for Dermalogica products and most didn't ship them to Canada ... that's how I found EDS ... searching for Dermalogica online. |

thanks for the welcome, moonstar
good to hear you had positive experiences with those merchants.
i just called JB about my sample kit because it's been more than 2 weeks and they think it might have gotten lost in the post and they are re-sending. very happy about that.

Hi montrealgal - I also have ordered from Sephora with no problems at all. Also from the skinstore, Strawberry and others with no problems either. I mostly order from EDS now except when someone raves about a product that they don't carry and I want to try it.
EDS is a first-class operation and I will keep making most of my purchases here! |

I haven't done that much online ordering but have been quite pleased so far with my orders from Saffron Rouge where I have been shopping for a couple of years, and I am already building my shopping cart here at EDS now that I've also found them. I like the convenience of online shopping and when you live in the boonies like I do right now, it's the only way to get what I want. These forums are also great because there is some fantastic advice here and reviews which help you determine which new products to try out and which ones to avoid so it's a great service.
Happy Shopping! |

I have made a few purchases at strawberry.net. The service is ok, but they send way too many e-mails regarding so-called specials. I have unsubscribed. |

I love dealing with DHC; they have good customer service and my shipment arrives within a week of when I purchase it online. I've also purchased beauty from QVC, and that's always worked out well. Sephora is all right, Philosophy-- eh. They take FOREVER to get you your order, and customer service is not prompt. I just made my first EDS order this morning and I've already been notified my order is going to ship soon. Wonderful!! |

thanks to those who have posted their experiences so far
loulan, that's terrible. i guess i will cross them off my list -- their prices are tempting but i would rather pay more and get a fresh product.
their site says you can return products you're not satified with -- did you do that? |

has anyone bought anything from Beautiful Perfumes?
they supply products both directly from their site and through amazon
they seem to be the only place that carries a perfume i want that was discontinued (already checked ebay).
thanx!
