Can male and female use the same product?
Female/Male should use only female/male products? |

I think we can use each other's products. Infact I'm almost positive. The only real difference I've ever noticed is that for some men's products they give it a manly fragrance. I think skin is skin whether you're male or female... |

i notice the DHC line for men is a helluva lot cheaper than the line for women. Their facial bar soap has the same ingredients--i checked, but the men's is about half the price. i would feel weird using a bottle of toner that says "DHC Men" though |

I've been told, but don't quote me on this, that in general men's skin is different because it's a bit thicker and more resilient. Ours is thinner and therefore more sensitive to products so that why they're a bit different. Besides, most men I know use their regular bar soap to wash their face and can you imagine if we did that on our skin? Ick!
The other difference I think has to do with their facial hair, but I can't remember how that plays into skincare. |

Yes but no The skin is basically the same other than for hormones. It tends to make female skin softer and thinner.
As for products, we can use the same unless one has more sensitivity to an ingrediant.
We all have the same skin...but it can very quite a bit from person to person. |

As stated, in general mens skin is thicker.
A while back I contacted MD Formulations about the difference between their male and female lines, mainly coz I wanted to get a special deal on the mens products and use the glycolic cleanser myself and give the eyecream to my SO. After a couple of weeks of persistant asking I got the short and sweet answer that yes, both sexes can use their products. My strooooong hunch is that it's exactley the same products (in MDF's case), the only difference is the BOX - there is no gender indication on the actual packaging... |
