What kind of products are we looking at. I guess it would depend. Ylang ylang oil is an oil control product (isn't it) but it certainly dosen't make my pimples smaller, someone may have had a different experience though. Jojoba regulates but again, I see no decrease in pimple size when I use it. I guess I am not really sure what kind of products you are talking, essential oils? creams? or any kind of oil control?

I guess that, if you skin gets less oily, then you will get less pimples eventually. Most products are topical, which means that they treat the specific area. It depends on what you are using too. Usually, it is the skin care regimen that helps control both oil and pimples, not just one product.
Does that answer your question?

I've used Dr. H's products - cleansing cream, clarifying toner, & normalizing oil and I found that it went a long way to decrease my oily skin & pimples.

Try the Dr Hauschka Tester tin for oily skin, it really made a difference to my skin.
