The friend who introduced me to EDS bought herself the Dermalogica kit for acne. She says that she is breaking out worse than ever. She looks like she has chicken pox. She was just wondering if this had happened to anyone else.

thanks

I had the same problem, I got the normal/oily kit a fews years ago & I ended up getting pretty bad breakouts & it took my skin a few weeks to get used to the products. A few of my friends have also had the same outcome.

My skin did purge - for about a week and a half. Once it cleared though I was delighted with Dermalogica!

dermalogica was the worst on my skin. Not only did it cause more zits and stuff it caused my skin to go dry and flakey. It was gross.

I used alot of Dermalogica (now I'm slowing branching out into Juice Beauty and PSF). I don't think it made me break out any more than I had been ... but it never made me stop breaking out either! There's alot of products I still love from them (Special Cleansing Gel, Daily Microfoliant, Skin Smoothing Cream, MultiVitamin Eye & Lip, Skin Refining Masque, Multivitamin Masque), but some of the others I wasn't sure if they were completely effective for me so I've moved on. I was hoping using the line would clear my skin up better, but it didn't seem to.

No I actually stopped using most of their products after about 4months of daily use as I didn't see much of an improvement at all. However, I still use some of their products like the daily mircofoliant in particular, but a lot of their stuff just doesn't seem to agree with my skin Confused

I just chucked the skin prep scrub in the garbage. It was just awful to my face. It caused me to break out in pustule- like pimples and my skin texture was really rough after using it. 10 days later I'm finally starting to get back to normal. I'm afraid to use the daily microfoliant now. Sad

This line didn't help my skin either...
They have some nice masks that I liked though.
My break outs lessened when I switched to a milk cleanser, instead of a foaming one. Decleor has a great cleansing milk that really helped my skin. Also their toner is amazing as well. My skin felt and looked so much more nourished and healthy when I switched to Declor. Dr Hauschka and Jurlique are also brands which agree with my skin.
