Lately I've been changing up my workout routine. I would hit the gym for half an hour just going on the threadmill or going on the bike. No weights. Then doing some laps at the pool. Swimming is really good workout for your whole body, arms, legs, stomach. After that I go to the steam room so I'll lose some fat from sweating as well as open up my pores to clear my skin.
After several times of doing this I feel great! My body looks more toned, and my skin has cleared up as well due to the steam room. |

I used to swim laps when I worked out--- my body looked amazing, but it was very tiring, LOL. |

I know. I feel like such a loser sometimes because I'll do one complete lap and I'm gasping for air. Some people in there can do 20+ without stopping!
I do LOVE the sauna too! |

HAHAHAAHHAA, thanks for that, tamgirl!! I was always totally embarrassed when I would do one lap and be gasping for air--- I thought I was the only one! What a tough workout...
And do I EVER love the sauna! Great place to put on body oil or lotion...^-^ |

Liz - You know, I don't even think it's the laps that are that tough. I think the tough part comes from having to hold your breath and just breathing slower than you would normally when you do cardio. That's what seems to kick my butt anyways. I guess it's something you really have to build up to. |

That's why I dislike swimming. Believe it or not I HATE swimming laps and I was on a swim team!! I discovered that any sport that requires me to hold my breath isn't for me. I stuck it out a few years though, no idea why I did since I REALLY dislike holding my breath. I much prefer the huffing and puffing and gasping for air, but I do remember how great swimming was for my body. |
