All right, my "bacne" has gotten pretty ridiculous and nothing I do (washing with saliclycic acid 2x per day, applying Retin A to the area) seems to be helping too much.
One issue is that it's muggy as hell where I live and my back sometimes starts to sweat -- and it's not like I can just peel my shirt off and sop myself. It's pretty gross, though.
I'm starting to look into prescription oral acne medications, but don't know where to begin and what the risks are. Can anyone here offer any insight? |

I was prescribed Minocin years ago, and it worked. The problem is that the medication gets your skin very clear after a few weeks, but the acne can come back when you stop taking it. It is expensive, too. There are probably new drugs on the market now that might work more on the long-term. |

Supplements worked for me: Vitamin A, Zinc and Multi B Complex. |

I got prescribed Erythromycin 250mg twice daily. It sure did work.. pretty good actually. BUT, antibiotic drugs mess up the good and bad bacteria inside you so you can end up getting ill more. Lots of info about this on the net. |
