I had trouble finding the answers to my questions in the reviews but the past reviews WERE very helpful. I have combo normal/oily skin and I do breakout but it's not SUPER bad, like 1-2 per 1-2 days. Mine are mainly hormonal. I used to use proactiv but I want to switch to something completely natural (free of bp or salicylic acid - sa never worked for me anyway). I am very keen on trying Juvenil and am planning to buy (because the store that carries it did not have a sample). I sample PG and even though it was a thicker texture I find that it does dry my t-zone out a bit (my chin/nose tend to flake when products are too drying). I use the Ylang Ylang oil and it does WONDERS for me. Chunlisa mentioned that PG/Creme 15 could be used day/night so I will get a sample of 15. But do I need moisturizer over these creams or will it be too much? (I don't use moisturizers, I only use serums, but the question applies equally). And if I mix Juvenil with PG/15 which step should I use it as - after or before my serum? I use the oil RIGHT after toning as that is the best way for it to absorb and spread. Then usually I use my proactiv repairing lotion followed by serum and then makeup. I tried PG w/o using my serum as I thought it would be moisturizing enough - I was wrong, but I'm afraid to use both cuz I don't want to breakout. Should I only buy EITHER PG/15 or Both - which is better? And I'm still not too clear on the diff between Juvenil and Emulsion Pure in terms of it effects, it seems both claims to rid acne, pure is just more potent. Please clarify. I also want to ask the difference between Creme 15 and Decleor's Night Balm. Since the oil works well on me I am more apt to buying the Night balm rather than Creme 15 for night time use. Which is better? Can I mix Juvenil with the Night balm? Also can Juvenil be mixed with different brands of moisturizers or only with other yonka products? What is the BEST purifying mask? I am using Proactiv's refining mask and it works well although I use it more as an overnight spot treatment for inflamed acne. I want to try something different (generally I want to rid myself of the whole Proactiv line). So far I am considering Decleor's Instant Purifying Mask, Jurlique's Moor Purifying Mask and Yonka's 103. Also which is better - Jurlique's Face Wash Cream or Dr. H's Cleansing Cream - they seem to have similar ingredients but I read elsewhere Jurlique's works better. Thanks so much for reading this LONG post and thanks for helping!
I just realized that I posted in the wrong forum - should be moved to Skincare/Makeup forum |

Hi! Welcome to the forum! I don't know about all the products you talked about in detail, but I hope I can shed some light on a few of them. First of all, congratulations on trying to make the move away from proactiv-- I know it has a real cult following, but all that BP really does a number on your skin!
You asked about Yonka's Juvenil and Emulsion Pure. As far as I know, the ingredients for these products are similar, although Juvenil also contains a sulfur-based ingredient. Juvenil is recommended for use as an acne spot treatment, and also to be mixed with other lotions as an all-over acne treatment. On the other hand, Emulsion Pure is recommended for use either as an intense toner (for real bad skin days), or as a compress on a broken-out, inflammed area to speed with with healing and draining. (Personally, I use it as a compress when I try unsuccessfully to pop a blemish--- drains the darn thing in no time!) Unfortunately I can't speak on Juvenil from experience--- I'm sensitive to sulfur, so I've stayed away from it.
As for the Cleansing Creams, I've never tried Jurlique's, but I am ADDICTED to Dr. H's--- it really helped my acne, and it makes my skin glow.
Like you, I LOVE the decleor Ylang Ylang oil. I've also noticed that I get a very similar effect from PSF's Balancing Oil, so I usually use it since it's so much more affordable. However, I've also been considering testing out Dr. H's day oil since I've had such good luck with the other Dr. H products...
