Just a quick question for all the silk dust users out there.
I'm very interested in this product, but am a little confused as to what it actually is. The directions under the blurb say to apply with fingers or a brush. Is this a powder, or a cream? I can't see applying a powder with my fingers, but wasn't sure because its called dust. Also, would it be good for med. - yellow undertoned skin? Or does it better suit light-skinned people? TFYH. |

Yes! I feel so ignorant, what are they for? Are they like makeup?
(jurlique rose/lavander dusks) |

I think it can be used as loose powder to set makeup and absorb oil. I've also heard that it won't leave your face white if you apply with a light hand. But I haven't tried the two dusks either. |

I use the Rost Dust. It's not a cream, but a translucent powder, so think applying it with my fingers might be a little weird, LOL. I use my beloved Urban Decay Powder Brush. Anyway, I just LOVE this powder. If you use a light coat it's truly translucent (not ghostly white), and it does a great job of absorbing oil, freshening your face, etc. I dust a little of it over my whole face in the morning, and then halfway through the day I blot and reapply to my t-zone and my face looks good as new!^-^ (And it smells incredible, too!) |

Thanks ladies - this definitely sheds some light on things - although I wonder why they say you can apply with fingers!
manslayerliz - is this something you could use in the summer over fake tan, or is it better when your paler? TFYH. |

I think you can use this whatever your skin shade is, from what I have read it applies like a translucent face powder |

Thanks rosebud - so I guess the tan would show through then. This sounds like it would be a good summer powder for me esp. since it absorbs oil. I'll see if I can get a sample! |

Thank you ladies! I got the lavander dust and I really like it! I just put it sparingly after my sunblock has set in on the Tzone and the oiliness is gone and no cakey look! thank you thank you |

I have a confession to make... on really hot nights when I'm worried about getting oily while I sleep... I've been dusting this stuff on right before I go to bed! It's been wonderful--- it hasn't made me break out at all, and I've been less oily in the morning, yay! |

It's wonderful stuff, I use it every morning as a finishing touch. I don't wear foundation, but I do wear sunblock, but even though the sunblock is far from oily, my face constantly looks shiny, so I pat the silk dust on and voila, nice, clean, matte finish. I have the most problematic skin ever, and it hasn't caused me any problems |

Hi, I just received this today. I used it as a finishing powder, gives a beautiful matte finish. It is a white powder, but is very transclucent, hths. |
