Hi,
I'm looking for a deep cleansing mask that WORKS deep down to really clean pores but won't leave my dry. Something I can use as often as I want whenever I feel my skin being decongested. I prefer all natural products but I am open to ALL suggestions as I hope to get as many as possible since I am making my * spam * soon.
Would also like to know for acne scars, post-acne pigmentation, and PORE REFINING which is better - Dr.H's Rejuvenating Mask or JB's Green Apple Peel?
Any other suggestions apart from these two?
Thanks! |

I have found that OCM followed by a clay mask (I use Murad clarifying mask, but it's not all natural) worked to really get rid of the stubborn blackheads on my nose. |

I've never used the Dr. H rejuvenating mask, but it's on my must-try list because I've heard so many good things about it. The Green Apple Peel, tho, I just can't live without. It fades acne marks, unclogs pores, and just gives my skin this incredible glow--- not to mention it makes my make up go on a lot easier! It makes my skin red for a few minutes after I use it, but that quickly goes away and it has NEVER dried my skin. Wonderful stuff. |

I could not be more enthusiastic about reccomending Dr. Hauschka Rejuv. Mask. I have not tried any JB products though. |

My Menthoderm is running out soon. I have been thinking of trying Dr H Clay Mask next. Any comments on this? |

I would recomend Dr Hauschka Clay Mask, you can make it up to the strength you like and I am able to leave it on and forget about it, no tight irritating feeling.
The Rejuvenating mask, I am not sure if it is pore refining, for me it treats the condition of my skin, leaving it brighter and softening any blemines.
Another pore refining mask I like is the Dermalogica one |

Ok, I guess I'm most likely going to go for the Green Apple Peel but I can't make up my mind between DrH Clay or rejuvenating. What is the consistency of the original jar of the clay mask? or is the jar filled with powder as well? I'm not particularly keen on the clay because I feel I'll mix into a big mess - do you mix it into a small bowl and then apply? does it waste product then? and is the mixture, as per directions exactly one application for the whole face?
btw, does the peel refine pores? the clay mask?
dermologica doesn't work that well for me so I don't wanna go into that line, I only use precleanse. |

I like using oil of olay deep cleansing mask.
I started using it because Dr. Baumann reccomended it for my skin type. It stings a little but it didn't leave my face red.
I have resistant skin, oily, and non-pigmented.
it contains:Kaolin clay, algae, tocopherol, seaweed extract, sea kelp.
I've tried many things that don't work for my clogged pores, but because I have such resistant skin most of them dont. |

I would definitely say that the Green Apple peel refines pores. My pores never look as good as they do the morning after I do a peel!^-^ |

I use Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay (bentonite clay) mixed with Bragg's apple cider vinegar when I want a really deep cleaning. It's pretty powerful, though, and I have combination skin that is fairly non-sensitive, so this may be too much for some people. |

I have used the Aztec mask with the apple cider vinegar also. There is also a pulsating feeling you get when it is on, but it does deep clean. |

JB Green Apple Peel - good for improving the texture of your skin and fading acne scars
Dr. H Rejuvenating Mask - good for deep cleansing of the skin |

sormuimui the consistency of the Dr Hauschka Clay Mask is of a very finely milled powder, I used about 1/2 a tsp which I put into the palm of my hand and then squirt on some toner (witch hazel), using my finger I mix together and then apply to my face.
I don't really find the process messy at all. |

Thanks for your tips! Has anyone used Yonka's mask? I'll probably get a Dr.H since they're the ones most recommended. But I'm still torn between which is more effective in deep cleansing. Does the rejuvenating mask deep clean? Maybe I will try both, one after the other, which should I try first?
rosebud: how much toner do you use? My face is fairly small I dont want to make too much, skincare for me lasts AGES because I don't need to apply A LOT on my face.
I also wonder abt the ingredients from the deep cleansing, slightly skeptical, not much in it, does it really work to make my pores CRYSTAL CLEAR? |

Ok I have surfed MORE of EDS and now i'm even MORE confused. I looked into a lot of organic brands (Eminence, Miessence, A'kin, etc) but still, I have no idea which ingredients would work well and which would not. A lot of them have very similar ingredients which baffles me some more. I am very much in need of a GOOD mask to just completely CLEAN My pores out.
Please help
Also I live in Van so hopefully any suggestions will be accessible. |

I am not sure exactly how much toner I use, I decanted my witch hazel into a spray bottle so one spray is plenty, I am still using my sample of the Clay Mask which I keep in a small screw jar, it is lasting so long!!
Also the Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream doubles up as a mask, after I have massaged it into my skin, I often leave it on for about 10 minutes (usually whilst I am checking posts on the internet), then I wash off as normal, it leaves me skin feeling clean and refreshed.
The Dr Hauschka Tester kit contains Cleansing Cream, Clay Mask, Rejuvenating Mask, Toner, Steam Bath ( recomeneded to use before mask to open pores ready and you can actually mix this with the clay mask) and Normalising Day Oil. So if you are unsure which mask to go for, you can test them first |

I love the dermalogica masks. I like the masks that create the tight feel and get really dry. For some reason that always seems like they are drawing out gunk out of my pores. Plus if I do decide to do an extraction, they always seem to be "looser" and remove easier. Maybe my imagination...who knows. |

I like the Fancl House's "Sebum Care Pack"...inexpensive but quite effective. Just need to spend 5 mins and it gets rid of my blackheads. |

Hi Ouha
Does it get rid of them, actually remove them, or helps keep them at bay? I keep thinking I need to invent (or someone does) a potion or lotion that we can rub on our face, let it sit for a minute or two and then it opens all the pores, once you rinse the black heads just FALL OUT..no squeezing, no picking no stabbing. Okay, yes sometimes that is fun, I know it is addicting, I am not the only one...but wouldn't that be a beautiful thing? |

Oh...I should say it removes 60-70% of my blackheads. After using it, my nose is similar to a bald, smooth and has reflection. |

I use DHCC to clear blackheads/whiteheads on my nose on a daily basis. It has cleared up about 70% after a month's once-daily use. My nose used to feel rough but it feels smooth and looks much clearer now. Sometimes I use a tweezer to pick out the backheads and they come out entirely. And I use Valmont Renewing Pack twice a week and find my nose/skin is even more clearer and refreshed after each use (though I'm not sure whether Renewing Pack is supposed to clear up pores).
I've just started using ISC Active Serum in the hope that it will clear up my pores further and help refine them.
I have a feeling that my pores will never be completely cleared and I will always have to work diligently to keep them unclogged cuz I live in a VERY polluted city. I once stayed in Europe for about two months and my pores were cleared miraculously without adding new products. |
