I need a good mattifying touch up powder - I know Jurlique's silk powder is GOOD but I want something with a bit of colour and something more compact. MAC blot is a fav for a lot of ppl, but I don't like it. Lancome's matte finish was a nice one but it is not discontinued. I'm stuck - I tried Shiseido's Pureness but it made my skin orange (I guess it wasn't compatible with my concealer). I wanted to try Chanel's Purete Mat but apparently they only have it in the US. Any recommendations PLEASE? Maybe japanese brands?

It gets sucky reviews on MUA, but I actually like the Jane Iredale Matte (pressed) powder -- I have a little sample container that I ordered fromwww.skin-etc.com that fits in my makeup bag without hogging up a lot of room.

Smashbox has a touch-up called 'compact anti-shine'. Sorry, it has no colour to it. The original concept was a touch-up that would not disturb existing makeup. I've used it a number of times and find it's generally good.

FYI - it is my experience that if you are as oily-skinned as I am, the Smashbox won't do a blessed thing in terms of mattifying your skin.

I second T. Leclerc. I have the powder in Banane. Expensive but makes me face flawless and pore-free.

Yeah, I know touch up is not supposed to disturb existing makeup. The problem is I blot before I touch up and after I blot some makeup gets on my blotter sheets, mainly because I layer my concealer. Thus if I use something w/o colour I end up blotchy.
If there are other solutions please let me know.

there are several powder foundations that you can try that will fit the bill, the most difficult thing will be finding the right shade. your best bet is to go into a department store when you're hot and sweaty and try some on, wear it out, and see how it settles. Laughing i have a no-name (well, it's worn off and i never recognized the name) compact i got in a salon last year that i normally hate -- but during the really hot days it works perfectly. seriously, the route for you to look at is a *powder foundation* rather than just a powder. your damp face will make it set just right. it may not be quite as mattifying, but it also won't get as cakey and gross as some powders can do in that situation.
