Few years ago, I've used Clarins Mositure Quenching Hydra Care Cream which is marvellous.
This cream is rich but lightweight and can help to restore my skin's moisture balance due to dehydration. |

Depending on how old you are I'd really recommend Valmont. If you're between 20-30 you can use Valmont's Nature line. If you're 30+ you can use Valmont. I have used Nature, it's too rich for me but the whole line is targeted at hydration. I personally only use the mask which is WONDERFUL (I've written a review about both the mask and the serum which you can have a look under "product reviews"). Moisturizers they have 2 kinds to choose from for the AM - Harmonizing with a Cream and Moisturizing with a Cream. Harmonizing is lighter. I suggest whatever moisturizer you end up buying you should use the serum from this line as it helps BIG TIME with the absorption of your moisturizer. The night creams follow along the same lines as the day creams. You can check out the product line under Valmont in EDS.
This is the best brand I have come across for moisturizers that really do its job hydrating the skin.
Even if you choose another line you should always use a moisturizing serum before your cream to increase its absorption and effectiveness.

blonde,
I would recommend that you try to get your hands on some squalane... the kind that is vegetable dirived. Squalane is close the the natural oils in the skin and works just amazing on dry skin...
I use a cream cleanser that has squalane in it and it has worked wonders for me... I do not know if you can get it in Melbourne, but you should be able to get squalane... Apply it after washing and before your moisturizer.
Take care.

My skin is very dehydrated & the only product that I find actually works on my skin is Guerlain's Super Aqua Serum! But the only problem is that it's very expensive |

I only bought it yesterday and wore it last night, but my skin feels softer and more moisturised. BTW, I'm talking about rosehip oil. I didn't buy the KOSMEA one, I bought I think it's "sunspirit" brand from a chemist warehouse and it was $9.95 for 25mL as opposed to KOSMEA which was $15.95 or $18.95 (not sure) for 15mL. As far as I know the KOSMEA is just 100% pure rosehip oil, as is this one.
It just feels so nice. I'm an Aussie in Brisbane BTW, it's too darn cold up here!

I also would suggest Valmont. It's very hydrating, and although I have stopped using it and have gone to just my serums for the summer, I will definitely re-order in the fall. This is my HG for dry Winter weather! |

Blonde- I'm prone to extremely dry, flaky skin in the winter time. I've tried lots of high-end creams, but the only thing I found that would hydrate my skin and not irritate it or break it out is Beauty Without Cruelty's Maximum Moisture Cream. The ingredients are natural/organic and very high quality, and it's fairly inexpensive--- I think it costs around $10. It also works well when used with the Body Shop's Vitamin E Hydrating Face Mist. You could also boost the power of the cream with jojoba oil or camellia oil. HTH! |
