My quest for years has been for the perfect auburn eyebrow powder to complement my naturally colored red hair. Last night I ran across this site and just had to share it. Brows make such a difference and this site is very informative with step by step photos. I haven't tried any of the products, but I'm definitely ordering today. I'll report back after I've tried it all. In the meantime, it's worth a look!

BTW, does anyone know how long new members are on probation? I want to share my findings with you all! |

That's a very nice site, thank you. I had chemo almost 6 years ago, and lost all lashes and brows, and every hair you could ever name, along with nails! My brows grew back so sparsely, and I have red hair. I looked and looked for something that lets me make them look real/believable, instead of drawn on. I was loving the Versace brow pencil, and then I discovered my HG: Chanel Precision Brow Definer in color Blond-Taupe, which I use to draw the shape, using little strokes. Then, top it with Chanel Professional Brow Duo in color Blonde. I brush on the shadow, and follow with the wax to comb it. I love how my brows look now. |

Cedar, it sounds like you have this down to a science! I've actually tried that Chanel pencil. It's good, as is everything I've tried in Chanel.
Years ago I did makeup for Chanel at NM Northpark so I used the whole line for a few years. My friends used to reference my work as "Making Faces" I was always astonished at how obsessed some of the women would be about finding the PERFECT color of lipstick. OMG! Have I become that woman? Yikes!!!
Back on topic...I'm currently using a Laura Mercier duo and Maybelline's Auburn pencil. Don't laugh! It's the closest thing I've found to a natural auburn color. The blondes and taupes will work in a pinch, but with Auburn hair I prefer a little more warmth (red tones).
For the record, I haven't actually ordered from Eyebrowz yet--I'm trying to narrow down my choice of stencils from a short list of about 20. I think the stencil thing could be fun! |

Ms Vicke, I saw some pics on here earlier today from a gal who used Rogaine for 3 months on her brows, and the pics were so convincing, I wanted to scream. I bought Rogaine for women almost a year ago, and wiped my brows using Q-tips, but did not stick with it long enough. I started again tonight, after seeing those convincing pics. I can hardly wait to have real brows again!
But, I do love my Chanel setup for now. It will be so neat not to have to use makeup to frame my pretty eyes, though! |

Wow, cedar! Who'd thunk? Women are so creative! Send me the link if you can. I'd love to see.
I used to have pretty thick brows, but that was back when it wasn't cool (late 70s). They were practically just a line in my high school senior picture. I've gone from thick to thin numerous times over the decades. Now, after tweezing all those years, I guess some of them just gave up. I wonder if Rogain would re-energize them. Any tricks or special application techniques? Would hate to have a unibrow! |
