I'm a firm believer that a good cleanser makes a big difference. I'm currently using PC's 2 cleansers for combo/oily skin. One of them has Sodium Laureth Sulfate as cleansing agent and the other one uses Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate. I understand the second one is a better ingredient even though I like the feel from the first one more.
Having been using these for a few years, I don't have any bad reactions from either, but I really want to try something new--what can you say, a girl is a girl . I'm eyeing on the Jurlique forming cleanser but 52CAD is pretty steep for 6.9oz cleanser. So please help me here, ladies, name good cleansers -- by that, I mean, cleansers w/o sulfates type surfactant, w/ a ph value close to 5.5 and leaves no residues on face.
Thanks.

Have a look in the DIY thread, there are some great recipes for homemade Cleansers and you know what ingredients are included. |

Well, it sounds like you're looking for a gel-type cleanser, not a cream cleanser, is that correct? If so, I definitely recommend the Juice Beauty Green Apple Cleanser. No Sulfates, and no parabens either, plus it smells very "juicy." Another good one is the Face and Body Cleanser from Zenbiotic. It doesn't foam up, but it leaves your face very clean with NO residue, and it's very nicely priced. ($8 for a big bottle) If you're feeling brave, I also completely recommend Chidoriya's Brown Sugar and Adzuki face soap. I was nervous about this one because it's a bar, but it's all natural, preservative-free, and the lather it makes is so soft and luxurious! I LOVE how my skin feels after I use it. You can pick up a bar for around $12 at chidoriyaworld.com. HTH! |

Thanks rosebud and liz! I'm putting the JB cleanser on my wish list now -- well, it's the easiest to get . Man, it's really surprising how many pricy cleansers still contain sulfates. |

I know, I'm always shocked when I look at the ingredients list for really pricey stuff and still see SLS, petro, etc. |
