I was watching this show that discussed myths about cellulite. Supposedly massaging the area, excersizing and rubbing grounded coffee beans into your skin wont get rid of cellulite, and they are all myths. 85% of women have cellulite, even athletes and skinny girls. It is mostly genetic. There are tons of cellulite creams on the market, but research shows that none of them are miracle workers. The best way is to buy a cheap firming lotion for example Nivea firming lotion and just apply to your body so it will help skin to keep it's elasticity. Supposedly anti-cellulite creams are just another way of spending lots of money.

I don't dispute these findings, but I do think that some firming products are better than others. I've been using the Neutrogena anti-cellulite serum and although my cellulite is still there, it's less signigicant and I am less self-conscious about wearing shorts and short skirts. The true test came when I didn't have my usual leap of horror in a dressing room recently. Laughing

I have seen pictures showing before and after 'Vitamin injections' and there was a huge reduction in cellulite.
I think I could put up with the discomfort for the results Laughing

My doc told me the most sure fire ways to REDUCE cellulite (complete elimination is a near unobtainable goal)
is this and all are pretty common sense:
1)Tons and Tons of water-flushes out the toxins in the trapped areas.
2)Excercise-any muscle replaces fat.
3)Fake tans-cellulite always looks better darker.
4)Dry brushing-helps circulation and lymph glands.
5)Saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs-helps your body release toxins.
6)Massage
And a good firming cream is a must. Tried Avon, Clarins, Lancome, and Oil of Olay and all are temporary at best.

I'm 110 soaking wet and have cellulite on my upper thighs, and the skin above my knees is starting to dimple. I do yoga and drink tons of water, yet-- cellulite. It's probably not as bad as I think, but it seems to me the more muscles I develop in my legs, the more cellulite I get. I gave a lotion a shot, and I don't think it worked. I haven't used it for a few days, after using it religiously for weeks straight... oh well!
