I've been using Bare Minerals for a year now and I love it. Before that I wore Revlon Skinlights, which is more of an illuminator than a foundation; it's not very heavy. That's why I like BM so much, it can be as much or little coverage as you want. One thing I don't like about it is that if you touch your face or wear collared shirts, it can rub off somewhat easily. |

i really like bare minerals.. after i tried it i will never use a liduid foundation ever again.. before this i used laura mercier oil free foundation. to me, the coverage is way more natural and its easier to work with, less messy, doesnt feel heavy on your face.. what i dont like about bare minerals is that they dont have a wide selection of colors to match your skin with and that it goes on a bit shiney.. so you really have to find a good loose powder overtop.. mineral veil is just soso to me.. still searching for the perfect anti shine/setting powder |

I currently use BE but I'm waiting on samples of EveryDay Minerals.
BE is somewhat expensive (with foundation and mineral veil) and it's give somewhat of a sheen to the skin, which I'm not a fan of.
I'm going to give EDM a whirl, if it works, you can get the foundation and their version of Mineral Veil (called finishing powder) BOTH for a few bucks under the price of just a BE foundation.
But everyone has their HG of MMU. If BE makes you happy then that's fabulous!
I've been using it for several years and am ready to try something else. But I know I won't go back to liquid foundations! Can't stand them now.
Though I am willing to try a tinted moisturizer if the EDM don't work well for me.
I'll post a review once I receive my order and try it!
The best thing if you want to try BE is to go to a place that sells it, such as Ulta or Sephora, and get a skin match that way. And it gives you the opportunity to try it without spending money on the products. |

if you watch her show on qvc she always has special pricing and great deals the only place i buy b/e from also....the foundation colors come in a kit there are two or them and you blend together to make a perfect shade for your skin |

I know I've seen her much on QVC! My mum always calls when they have a BE show on.
I have two of the kits...but you can't beat Everday minerals prices if it works just as well.
I've been using BE for a few years now, willing to try something else. If all else fails I'll head straight back to BE.
I'm looking for makeup without Bismuth though, and BE isn't one of those.
We'll see how it goes...doesn't hurt to sample others |

I'm dying to try mineral foundation too!! So while I'm still waiting for my Everday Minerals samples I decided to buy the BE starter kit for the sake of getting some brushes for cheap.
Anyways, I finally got around to wear it for a FULL day today, and the only complaint I have for it is the color selection! This obvious is going to be the reason that I'm gonna have to give up on it because its making me look ridiculously pink (I have a yellow undertone).
But other than that I love this stuff. It's over 12 hours since I put it on my face and my face still looks pretty fresh with no touch up in between. I know that many ladies don't like the shiny look but I actually didn't find that much of a problem, not sure if it's because I've only applied one layer and I primed my face with MAC prep+prime (great for oil control) before putting on the foundation.
I hope my Everyday Minerals will arrive soon because now that I've tried minerals make-up I doubt I'll want to go back to liquid make up again!! |

BE gave me tiny bumps all over my face. The color was off for me too. |

After reading your rave reviews on MMU, I ordered some samples from Everyday Minerals today.
My only concern is that the foundation will gather in my lines under my eyes. |

I selected the Bare Minerals forum bonus in my last EDS order on the off chance that the color was even close, and it's perfect. I had several samples of Jane Iredale before that but the colors I chose were all too light, the Everyday Minerals samples were closer but the first couple of times I tried them I realized how badly I needed to exfoliate and moisturize first. I looked terrible, little bits of dry skin sticking out all over the place and I looked as wrinkled as an apple doll! Now I'm playing with the Everyday Minerals concealer sample with the Bare Minerals and I'm really happy with it. |

I still don't think the mineral foundation can compare to the traditional ones. It dries me out during cold days and too much coverage even only using a little. |
