Anyone been to disneyland recently and done the whole package thing?? I've never been and have to find a package for 2 people.. what's the best way to go? What websites are the best for this? There's like a million out there, travelocity, hotwire, etc etc that I don't know where to start for DisneyLand... I know if I go through my travel agent I'll pay 100% more than if I did it myself with the internet...

Definitely do it yourself thru the net.

It'll be alot of work but ultimately you'll get better deal.

I wish I could help.. We went to Disny World several years back, but all we paid for was mine and my kids airfare... It was a convention thig, so they paid for the hotel and we played while their Dad was wroking...LOL

I did get our passes thru AAA at a discount... They were 5 day, never expiring ones.. Or so I was told... We only used 3 days and were told we could use them whenever we got back there. I have no idea, we haven't been back...LOL

Good luck, if I find anything out, I'll sure let you know...

I Love Disney!! I have been to both Disneyland and Disneyworld but I prefer Disneyworld the most. As for the savings it all depends on the tour operator your travel agent uses and not the agent herself. I worked almost a decade in the travel industry and can tell you that you really have to shop around. For park tickets and such I always use to get them at the park itself. As for travel deals, I find calling the hotels directly will give you a better rate. For airline prices, check the airline sites first as they may be having seat sales or else stick with a travel agent as they deal with wholesalers and consolidators which can give better rates.

I've only been to Disney World, not Disney Land, but I use Mobissimo.com for booking travel. In the case of DW, often times the hotels near the parks have good package deals (usually multiday, multipark passes you can buy At the hotel), but it depends on when you go and also, the hotel. I would definitely do the online thing though. Also AAA and other places like that often have discount tickets available to members (sometimes it is worth the price of signing up). I have seen tickets on ebay as well. Lastly, at least in Orlando, when you get there it seems like everyone is giving out these coupon booklets for discount tickets to parks, shows, dinners, etc. I would imagine for DL it is all pretty similar, but I am just guessing! Hope that helps!

make sure you book dinner reservations BEFORE you get there. I make the mistake and thought I could do it once I got in there. Everything good was booked, and I ended up eating in the park way too many nights...eating in the park is okay for lunch, but I wanted to sit down for dinner!
