Has anyone experienced an increase in blackheads because of vit-c serum?
I got a full size PSF 12% vit-c serum and think it was the culprit of extra blackheads suddenly appearing... |

Location: Denmark. Me = 32, think I'm combo without oiliness + sometimes sensitive. Have noticed that skin doesn't heal as quickly anymore and I've developed fine lines around my eyes... Hormonal breakouts which are sometimes cystic. PCOS |

I have the 20% PSF Vit-C. I had existing blackheads around my nose and on my chin ... I haven't noticed an increase, and maybe a slight decrease BUT I think the decrease is due to the PSF Nite Retinol 1% I started at the same time.
I wonder if the 12% and the 20% have difference consistencies that one might be more pore clogging than the other? The 20% is a slighly oily feeling, very watery texture. I noticed a slight amount of increased shine, but not too much. |

Cellular Skin RX C Serum gave me a huge crop of blackheads in my normal blackhead-prone areas, and a bunch in areas that I had never had blackheads before. I kind of thought that it was the base of the product that did it since I had no problem witih JB C serum or SC C serum. I tried to use the Cellular Skin RX C serum several times, and each time I found myself with a bunch of blackheads that were difficult to get rid of.

thanx ladies...
the 12 % is watery and slightly oily. I had a sample of it before I purchased, and didn't have any problems at all. I've also been useing samples of JansonBecketts C&C, also no problems.
I'll have another go next week and see how it goes. |

I noticed an increase of clogged pores especially in the area right by my nose after using PSF 12% for a couple of weeks. It seems like every VitC product I use wants to clog my pores though, immediately or eventually. I wish I knew why!  |

| The only Vit C serum that gave me blackheads was Skinceuticals CE Ferulic. I had blackheads in places I'd never had them before! I ended up using the rest of the serum on my hands & arms. |
