Ok so apparently the foundation for looking good isn't foundation but concealer. To do with getting the right tone as well as shade.
I gave up trying to find a suitable one years ago. When I had my foundation done at Prescriptives they didnt do custom blend concealers (does if anyone know if they do now?). I used to use the 'thin bits' around the opening to my Prescriptives foundation bottle (suprisingly worked very well). Now that I have a Trish McEvoy habit,I do have a couple of concealers in my Planner which I'm supposed to blend together. But unsurprisingly I can't be bothered so they are untouched.
Any tips on range which has a wide range and is easy to use? Also, I have heard good things about Becca. Anyone used? |

I have two favourites I've been using ... I use Amazing Cosmetic's concealer under my eyes (a small amount really goes a long way) and then if I have any blemishes I'll use the Revlon Colorstay (it really does stay!). |

I've been reaching for MAC Moisturecover the most recently. I also have Jane Iredale Circle Delete for dark circles and use a loose mineral foundation powder to cover up any pimples. HTH |

MAC Studio Finnish Concealer
Physicians Formula Loose Mineral Powder - when used with a concealer brush, this is fantastic for covering any spots or blemishes. |

I like Chanel's QuickCover for undereyes and general concealer issues. For blemishes, I use "stronger" stuff - Lancomes' Effacernes or Revlon Colorstay. |

I use Revlon Colorstay undereye concealer. The packaging says they use a new "Softflex" technology that won't crease, and it really does stay put with no/very little creasing (depends on the day.) |

Hi
I have been reading alot about Rev. color stay line in general. Anyone else used this brand? What is the staying power? Good coverage, what about clogging pores or looking masky? Thanks |

Interesting. Revlon never even occurred to me.
Went to the Becca counter today and got them to do the concealer. Even with the SA doing it, the texture didn't look right. |

I'm an actor and model, and have had all different brands of concealers used on me and so far I like the texture of the Revlon Colorstay Underye concealer the best. Like I said earlier, there is very little to no creasing, and I feel the staying power is good. The concealers MUA's use on me pretty much always crease - they usually use cream concealers in pots/pallettes (Revlon comes in a pen.) However, the coverage of the Revlon concealer is not as complete as cream, but I feel it's adequate and looks natural. As for clogging pores, I'm prone to milia and it hasn't caused any problems. I've never tried pricier pen concealers (YSL, CD) so don't know how Revlon compares to those. |
