| I recently purchased the DHC AHA renewing face product. It has 10% lactic acid in it. Do I apply this before I apply my Retin A/Neova mix? I do have very tolerant skin and am not worried about overload here, just not sure if I use this before the Retin A or after? Thanks in advance. |

Hi Rileygirl
If by Neova you mean the copper peptide product you can't use it with anything acid - it breaks down the copper peptide.
If you see this discussion here we were just working that out.

You can use Skinbio's copper peptides (2nd generation) with acids, but not the ones used in all the other products (1st generation)
I guess Retin A is an acid too so you can't mix it with that either.
Sorry Molly |

| Thanks Molly. That's a crapper! I guess I will have to alternate nights with these products then. |

Hey, Molly. I just found this info
"Combining a Copper Peptide Product with a Glycolic Acid Product will help to stimulate and speed collagen and elastin production, thereby producing faster results for smoother-looking skin. Simply mix a small amount of both together and apply a thin layer to the skin."
This info is under homepeels.com - perri skin care information. I will try to do more research. |

| I think Perricone is a pal of Dr Pickart and he's referring to the Skinbio's. Really, if you look at the thread we were all baffled by the conflicting info, but the distinction seems quite clear. |

Hi
I've been checking too. I'm quite interested in trying the Neova peptides at some point so I wondered.
This thread is very informative
http://theskincareboard.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=524&highlight=vitamin
people are wanting to do the same thing - acids and Neova.
The advice seems to be it might be OK if you apply the acid first and then give it time to neutralise, but best not.
And Neova do do a combined CP/Retinoid product but the Retinoid is encapsulated to avoid breakdown. |

Thanks again Molly. It is all very confusing! I am going to try to do more research/reading. |
