Hiya,
Haven’t posted for a while, but wanted to give a thumbs-up for a vegan hyaluronic acid I picked up awhile ago and just tried this past week. It’s called Devita 65% Hyaluronic SeruGel. Was a bit dubious that it would work since it’s not made from the normal source, but darned if it doesn’t plump up my skin enough that some fine lines that aspire to be crow’s feet are invisible…all day. Wow! I had been using the scotch tape method (Frownies were just too harsh for my skin) and while that worked a bit, the lines were usually back by midday.
Don’t refrigerate it, it becomes too viscous and doesn’t work as well. I just put a little all over my face and then moisturize. Am currently using Alexandra de Markoff Moisture Reserve Cream--which I don’t think anyone uses anymore other than my mom…and now I do, too. Looking at the ingredients it doesn’t seem to be anything too special, but for some reason my skin likes it AND BTW, it’s the ONLY cream that calmed my skin after I left the PSF pumpkin mask on a bit longer than recommended. (Love PSF, it was my bad. I was packing for a trip, got distracted and before I knew it my 5 minutes were up. Also, my skin tends toward the sensitive.) So, either the AdM or the LRP blahblah 50+ after the Devita HA is my current routine.
Finally, add me to the bandwagon of happy PSF02 pimple people. I bought the PSF02 some time ago and it was okay for my skin, but didn’t get all wow about it. Had one of those little pimples with a whitehead that I did not, for the record, squeeze. I just popped off the whitehead and washed hoping to kill the bacteria and, of course, the pimple just got bigger and I ended up with that serous fluid and and whitehead garbage that ends up being way too much trouble. So, after opening the whitehead one more time, I doused it with the PSF02. Big Wow! No more cycle of the bacteria coming to the surface. It’s just healing from the inside and getting less red by the minute (well, seems like it anyway)! Knock wood, this is the first pimple I’ve had in I don’t even know how long, but I’m keeping the 02 on hand from now on, just in case. It rawks! (Maybe Darren will give us EDS devotees first notice when the company goes public. I would love a piece of THAT! ) |

Hi Tea,
Where did you find Devita 65% Hyaluronic SeruGel?
I tried to google it ... but came up empty.
Thanks

Thanks Tea,
It looks good ... [I'm a sucker for packaging! ]
I'm intrigued, though, by your initial post where you say that the HA comes from a different source. I didn't see that in the "ingredients" ... or in the description. Now ... I could have missed that ... but in the ingredients it just lists it as HA ...
I'm not vegan ... and really don't care, although I thought an "alternate source" of HA was an interesting concept.

Oh! Well, maybe I'm wrong--I thought HA came from rooster combs. So, when I saw that this was vegan, I assumed it was from some other source. (If you look closely at the pic of the bottle it states "100% vegan source.") I'm not vegan either, for the record. Am happy to know roosters haven't, apparently, lost their handsome combs in the making of this product though.
Did a search here for Devita and it seems a few folks do like it. I just bought the undereye repair gel. Went through a bottle of the Juvena Juvedical and it was fine, but still have some bags 'n darkness I'd like to see if this new product can help. It seems to have some good ingredients to that end. Here's hoping! |

Hi Tea, I used a whole lot of Devita stuff including the products you just got and really liked them at the start. After about two months, the products started to sting my eyes when I applied them. These products are free oc synthetic preservatives and I think they had gone off... I stored them in the bathroom and maybe it was too hot and steamy. Just wanted to let you know it might be a good idea to store them somewhere cool. It could, of course, be that I had a slight allergy to one of the ingredients, my skin can be sensitive at times. |

That's a good point! I do have sensitive skin and have been using the HA for about a month, but I bought it back in February. Will keep an eye on that since it has been so warm.
Very timely that you brought this thread up, because I just today received my order for the undereye serum. I also requested samples even though I wasn't sure if any were offered. Low and behold I received three samples and they're rather generous little pots, to boot.
Must say the customer service was exceptional. In addtion to the lovely samples, I received more than one call about the status of my order. (I started out neglecting to include the expiration date of my CC on my on-line order. ) She called to ask for that, then called again to thank me for providing that info and then called a last time to advise that order had shipped.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my skin responds well to this line. I really like the company so far and want to continue to support it. |
