For those of you who have done glycolic acid peels 20% or higher and have used the Green Apple Peel how do they compare? Give as many details as possible please. Glycolic strength, pH, time before neutralizing, frequency, etc.....Thanks.

I have not done a 20% AHA peel but even without having done one I can tell you that the Green Apple Peel is not going to be anywhere hear as effective in terms of exfoliation.

I have tried the GA Peel a few times now and only had slight redness the first time I used it. Afterwards I left it on for longer and had no problems at all. It does leave skin nice and smooth but my opinion of it is that it is quite gentle (which is a good thing).

I emailed Juice Beauty to ask the AHA content of the Green Apple peel and this is what they replied:

"The Green Apple Peel comes in two strengths, Sensitive, which I recommend you start with and Full Strength. The Sensitive is 8 – 10 % AHA and the Full Strength is 13 – 15% AHA."

Hope that helps.

the Green Apple peel is much weaker than the glycolic peel i use ... i acutally think it's too gentle to have any significant results for me.

Thanks for your replies. It sounds like the Green Apple Peel is not really that strong.
hendricks-I think that it would probably be too gentle for me too as my skin is used to 70% glycolic acid peels.
I just got some MaMa lotion (10% malic acid and 10% mandelic acid at 2.5 pH) and from what appeltini said the MaMa should be stronger than the green apple peel. The MaMa is a leave on product and I can tolerate that just fine. I think that I will stick with that instead of trying the Green Apple Peel.

oh yeah it will be small potato compared to your 70% glycolic peel. I use 35% glycolic and it still can't compare.

hendricks do you do your own peels? If so, what product do you use? Would you happen to know what the pH of your peels is? TIA
