Hi there, I am hoping for some good advice here.
I am 26 years old, and I have really oily skin. I am not worried about the oily skin, I can cope with that, but I do worry that perhaps I should be using anti-aging creams instead of products formulated for greasy/oily skin.
What do you think?
Thanks,
Gillian |

Hi Gillian,
First off, I don't have an answer to your question, but I have a question that stems from your question that hopefully Magda can help us with. I also have oily skin but my forehead seems to be getting a line on it. I'm 24, so I'm not much younger than you are.
See, I have this habit of raising my eyebrows when I speak or respond to people -- just a natural reaction of being "receptive" when people are talking (kind of like nodding, raising eyebrows). The raising of the eyebrows, however, creases part of my forehead and I notice that the lines are now somewhat visible when I'm just relaxed. I'm wondering whether it's prudent to start using anti-wrinkle cream just for that area to see if it'll subside. I don't know what to do . . . it's a bit scary but I can see why it happens because I'm always public speaking or something so it's a habitual. Maybe it's also cuz I'm shorter than most people so I have to look up (and hence, crease my forehead) to talk to people.
Anyhoo, I hope someone has some advice for us. BarbaraPortno says not to use anti-wrinkle cream so early in life cuz it'll just work against us later (when we really NEED it). So I'm not sure what to do.
Thanks,
Lisa |
