Can anyone recommend a good light drugstore foundation that controls shine due to oily skin? I'm a stay-at-home mom so it's for everyday where to the park, library, etc . . . nothing heavy.
Thanks!
Also - if you have any recommendations for a no-smudge drugstore brand mascara that would be appreciated as well!
Thanks again! |

Cover Girl Fresh-something compact foundation (it's in a teal, oval shaped compact w/ sponge) or Maybelline Pure Makeup. |

I suffer from oily skin and much prefer a powder than liquid foundation. |

Revlon Colorstay w/Softflex for oily/combination skin or Colorstay Active Light makeup is pretty good, as long as your skin isn't real prone to breakouts. Mine did okaaaaaay with it, but is much happier with mineral makeup. |

My vote goes for L'Oreal Air Wear Powder Foundation. It can be used wet or dry, has SPF 17, and NEVER turns orange (a problem for us oily skin gals). It's very mattifying but it doesn't look like a mask. |

I recently tried Tru Blend Whipped Foundation by Cover Girl and I am really impressed. It does give a lot of coverage but feels really light. We are in the middle of summer so the temp is 90 and 80+ humidity and this stuff has kept my oily skin at bay. I had to use a powder on my tzone but the rest of my face has stayed matte. Revlon Colorstay is awesome too.
I use the mascara called Lash Discovery but if you want one that does not smudge at all then try Neutrogena Weightless Mascara...it does not have wax in it so it does not budge in the heat. |
