I have been using the Obagi Nu-Derm system now for about 2 months. My trouble is i have bad acne on my chin and want to use benzaclin in the morning with my obagi products. here is my question: can i use benzaclin on my face, then apply the Obagi cream with hydroquinone (a bleaching agent used to even skin tone), then apply the Obagi cream with glycolic acid (an exfoliant)? I just want to be sure these chemicals won't make things worse when used together. Bottom line is i want the benefits that Obagi promises and a clear, acne free complexion! Thanks |

I believe that Benzaclin contains benzoyl peroxide which can be irritating. I am not sure that would be the best thing to use with the Obagi system as Obagi is by itself very irritating. Do you use RetinA as part of the Obagi? That should help with acne. You may want to ask you dermatologist if you can use the Benzaclin. A better option might be topical antibiotics alone, not antibiotics and benzoyl peroxide which is what Benzaclin is. |
