Hi all,
I have major freckling going on, one area on my right cheek is so concentrated it is starting to look like a birthmark or big mole. I use Retin A (Tazorac) twice a week . The freckling started last summer and now this summer all the areas I had before are getting even darker. I am diligiant about sunscreen and wear La Roche Posay 60 while out in the sun with a hat. I wear 30spf when inside. I can't help but think the Retin A is doing this, making it darker but all the info I've read on it says it is good for fading hyperpigmentation. Is this a double edged sword? I'm now considering calling a plastic surgeon and asking about IPl therapy to fade these marks. Has anyone tried this form of therapy for major freckling? I also suffer with mild sebaceous hyperplasia which the Retin A helps but I don't want to use it if I'm going to keep getting dark frecking. Has anyone else experienced severe freckling while using a Retin A product? I could handle freckling if it were spread out with a more natural look but these are all clumped together and yellowish. One one side it looks like a vertical line.
Also, can anyone recommend a good natural moisturizer for use after applying Tazorac or BHA at night? I have very sensitive skin. Thanks! |

Thank you for the reply. I'm at such a loss of what to try! I'm so tempted to try Jiaoli but so scared of the mercury used in it. |
