From all the posts here, I'm so tempted to try Everyday Minerals in their semi-matte formulation, but as i was browsing their website, I came across Carina's blog and she mentioned that EM will be coming out with a new Intensive Coverage Foundation line, based on all the feedback and requests she's gotten for EM to have better coverage. I can't wait to try it...just thought i'd let you guys know.

I've found that EM oxidates and will turn orange or pink on my skin depending on which foundation I've got on. |

lianne, I have found the same thing. My skin or the make up will turn orangeish very early in the day. I think it is my oils in my skin oxidizing the powder. Maybe there is an ingredient in it, different than other (not sure what it is), but it does turn orange. I have tried numerous colors from this line. |

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Pure luxe and barefaced minerals work well for me..(no colour changing) |

Uh oh. I've just ordered the new intensive coverage samples and hope they don't change color on me. Anyone else with that experience? Also, the new intensive foundation has two extra ingredients in it: allantoin and indian gooseberry. I'm after mmu with as few ingredients as possible but with good coverage, and i'm worried about those two extra ingredients. Anyone with clogged-pore problems with these ingredients so far? |

I've used all of the Everyday MMU formulas, been using the Intensive for 3 days, and I think I like it best. No problems for me, hope it works for you. |

Thanks Cedar! How's the finish? The website says it's supposed to be between semi-matte and matte. Does it have the least bit of glow in it? I don't want to look flat. |

Dollbird, it's almost matte, very close. I might see how it works if I blend Semi-Matte with Intensive. Although I really don't want to get into blending. (I'm trying to streamline, not add more steps) I don't notice any sheen at all. |

I'm very pleased to say this range hasn't turned orange on me (this has happened in the past) and am now really interested in trying the new Intesive coverage, as I really like their normal range. I'm also a bit worried about the finish, at the moment I like something between the Original Glo and Semi-matte. I think I will be ordering full sizes and may ask them to include a sample of the Intensive. |

Got my samples in. Had to blend all 3 but got the right shade. Lasted all day with not nearly as much itch as the matte, (good thing)! Used monistat primer before (had also used it w/ matte but it didn't help the itch) and it lasted very well all day w/o changing color. Did make my skin look a little drier, but didn't show the pores as much as my True does. |

Yes I found they turn orange on me too. Well the medium beige did anyway.I was so annoyed because it was the only colour that was a close match. |

Yay, I just put an order in for samples as well. Guess this is something I should try on whilst indoors then? |

I received my Intensive Coverage samples on Friday. It passed a major hurdle today. It passed the "run-through-the-airport" test. One of the things I've discovered as I am getting accustomed to my mature skin, my T-Zone sweats when I get too hot. When I am wearing BE it itches and stings when I get hot. Today, no itching and the make up stayed in place all day. WooHoo! |

I received my Intensive samples today. I ordered Medium Beige Summer, Medium Tan and Tan. The latter two were too dark, and Medium Beige Summer was just right, EXCEPT that it turned orange on me. Too bad because i love the texture and coverage. I re-ordered another sample kit, this time with Medium Beige. I hope it will work better since I love EDM's quality for the price. |

I've been wearing EM since late last week and so far I really love it! And luckily it hasn't changed colour on me. I think Amazing Cosmetics did change a bit on me (it seemed to look a bit yellow as the day wore on, although not excessively). I have the semi-matte and matte finish. I like semi-matte the most. I wasn't as happy with the matte finish (just because I like a small amount of "glow"), so I'm mixing them together which seems to work nicely. I'd be interested in the intensive finish as well as long as it's not too heavy. |

hello all-
I ordered EM samples and the kabuki brush. i haven't used mineral/powder foundation before. when i applied it, it felt very dry and like it was caked on.....defintely not as nice as the normal liquid foundations...I am keen to stick with minerals. has anyone had the same experience??or maybe i am applying it incorrectly?
thanks for any help |

I purchased a kit about the same time the new intensive came out, so I got that (along with matte) as my foundations. Love it! It gives a bit more coverage, but not so heavy I look made up.
Fatjack~ I've only used MMU for a few months, but my guess is that there may be too much on the brush when you're applying it. If any can be tapped off, that should be done. Also EM foundations don't need to be 'buffed' in. I get a much smoother, lighter looking/feeling finish if I use a very light touch when applying. YMMV. |

Fatjack, Defintely agree with vacpl. Put a pinch in a small dish swirl your brush in it, tap the brush on the edge of the dish and lightly apply. If it's not enough coverage do a second light layer. Also I've seen posted by more experienced mmu users than me, that you should start applying along the side of your face and do the middle last. Anyone one else heard of this? Good luck. |

Ooh, that I didn't know. Might try that next time I wear makeup, which isn't daily. Thanks for the tip! |

I saw on their blog they're looking at bringing out some more neutral colours though it may be awhile away..they're looking for feedback from customers. I cant wait as im having trouble with colour matching Im now trying pureluxe to compare the two. |

Well, what the heck is causing the color change? From a chemical perspective, I mean? Does anybody know? |
