Is it just me or is this happening to other people. Every single day I get at least a dozen e-mails to invest in stocks. I "block sender" with each "invasion" but they keep coming faster & faster. These crazy people that do this don't understand that my extra money is for skin care. |

Yes, if not for skincare I'd have a very healthy stock portfolio by now
Have you got a spam filter than you can bump up to a higher level? Blocking the email addresses is usually quite ineffective as they change them rapidly. Another thing I can suggest (though it may be too late) is having a separate private address that you don't use anywhere online but only use to communicate with your friends. This should remain virtually spam free. I still have a few email addresses that I have had for years that have not received a single piece of spam - this is because I never use them on any online sites, online competitions, etc. I also have email addresses that I specifically set up to use online and most of these are getting hit with spam now. |

yes, we get a billion a day through our various accounts at work (and my mailbox downloads EVERYONE's mail as the central handling depository )
Have you also noticed that those mails tend to come not with typed text but with the text embedded so that mail filters dont work? I have my mailbox set up that about 90% of junk mail either goes direct to the rubbish folder or at least to the spam folder, but these embedded image ones sneak past. oh well, I guess about $20 a day of my wage is spent sifting through junk mail - not too hard a job.
oh, but worse here now is that all the emails for dating services include naked women and shots of various naked body parts. Quite a shock when someones bound nipple appears in your face when you least expect it - and before you even have a chance to have your morning injection of caffiene! How rude! |
