Hi Mark
I've had some partial success with CPs. I got rid of some of those bobbly type of moles on my neck. Never tried to get rid of any normal moles, but do think long term CP use (5 years) has had an inhibitory effect on them when I compare with my sisters.
But just wanted to warn you not to buy the Supercop. Get the Supercopx2 or the Tri-reduction. Supercop is the most irritating cream ever, curiously, much more so than Supercop x 2 which is stronger. Never saw anyone onine who could tolerate it. |

Thanks for the warning, what do you mean by normal moles? flat ones?
Are you saying that using cp has had a positive effect on them without using it on them specifically, or that you have used it on areas with moles but never tried to remove them as such? |

I meant not the polyp/bobbly kind.
I've only got a couple of moles on my face and they're slightly raised.
I've used CPs all over my face for years on and off not normally the strongest ones though. So, I mean using milder CPs may have inhibited their growth if I compare with my family - Can't think what else could have done it.
Don't know about flat moles, sorry. |

Mark,
I have had success using Super Cop on a few moles. Initially I started using Super Cop on it's own, then started using 40% lactic acid periodically along with the super cop. I believe you need some sort of abrasion, whether it be manual or acid to have it work.
Good luck.

I remember seeing a product on the internet called wartmoleremoval that mentioned something similiar. You use an emery board to scratch the surface of moles before application of the cream. Im abit unsure of doing this, how much is enough?
But if its better to do this before applying it im sure i can give it a go.
Did you use the normal super cop or the 2x btw?
thanks. |

Hi Melissa, personally im still unsure about how to properly perform the abbrasion. I'd certainly prefer to know before i buy anything.
How long have you been using it, have you noticed any improvement?
The fact that it takes a few months doesnt bother me, better than scars for life..plus ive dealt with them for so long already.
thanks, Mark |

Ok Mark somehow when I type my sentences I seem to lose a few works..sry.. Last nite I applied a Jan marini bioglicolic lotion to the area waited ten minutes then applied the super cp serum. I will do this for a few months and see. I think if you have any type of aha or glycolic lotion, you can do the same. That would take care of the abrassion part. AHA is short for alpha hydroxy acid. Alot of products have that in it. Hope that helps you. |

Thanks very much for the info, let us know how you get on..it would be much appreciated.
I was thinking of trying it out on a small mole first so that i can see much quicker if it works. |

Dunno if you have already done it, but is it a good idea to abrade the surface of moles? Is there not a possibility of moles turning cancerous if damaged - or is that just an old wive's tale.
Either way I'd check it out with a doc first. |

Thanks Kenchunk,
guapagirl, im not certain of course but i have a few that i am regularly cutting when shaving, and that combined with hair growth from beneath them i dont think abrasion would cause any problem..although as i say i dont know for sure. |

I am alot uncomfortable with taking a fingernail file and scrapping a mole, so I am doing an aha waiting 20 then applying the cp. If thats not abbrassive enough then...well I'll have moles. |

Mark, fair point about shaving and stuff but are they really that bad that you have to get rid of them? I personally like moles (guapaboy says the ones on my back are like the constellation of Orion ) and I don't think you should mess with 'em myself.
If you MUST, then I think MelissaMarie's approach is probably safest.
In terms of experience, I have a dark freckle (not really a mole) on my nose and that disappeared when I had a serious glycolic acid burn (you'll find the saga here if you search for 'burnt my face off'). It did reappear a few weeks later which leads me to think that if a serious acid burn cannot budge a freckle then it ain't gonna work on a mole.
My guess is that you are looking at surgery or laser treatment.

i agree, moles are dangerous yet can be totally harmless, I refuse to truely mess with them, if putting a bit of aha's and copper on them disolves em ...GREAT...if not I feel no harm done. |

Well so far ive already heard of a few success stories, but i do often wonder if its all dependable on the type of mole, how you perform abbrasion etc..which is why im wanting to get as much information as i can.
Hopefully though everything will work out fine

I got my moles lasered off while working in Seoul. In canada it is about $50/mole while in Seoul it was $7-10! I have no scars and it didnt hurt at all. I would highly reccommend it! |

Hi Mark
If you're still watching this thread have a look here.
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=15496&start=25
Scalawaggirl seems to have come up with a good plan for her moles using Supercop x2, though she hasn't started yet. I think she's done a lot of research on it.
I have to agree with the others above about using the nail file. There's a big difference with abrading and wounding yourself. Much better to try acids I'd say and start gently and move up.
