Hi everyone.
How often should I exfoliate. I am trying to get rid of the under surface bumps on my face, and also the texture of my face is rough. I would like to smooth it out and shape up my texture a bit. I have the pevonia peel, the peter thomas roth earth mask, and got the juvena juvedical serum to help with the tone. I am using amino genesis over the serum. Is there anything else I need?
forgot to mention I am using skinceuticals 20 now too, and just using the jansen and beckett vit. c around eyes. Dosen't the vit. c exfoliate as well? I don't want to overdue it because it just makes me look worse. Any thoughts? Thanks!! |

i do it 2x a week, 1x with microdermabrasion and another time with glycolic acid peel (both are home kits). Using either one at least once a week is good exfoliation. I don't think vit c exfoliates. |

What is your skin type?
I am not familiar with the PTR mask but the Pevonia is nice and gentle so I would say two maybe even three times a week (if you don't have sensitive skin) until you are happy that the bumps are gone. I remember someone mentioning vit C exfoliation but I think that was negligible amounts.
ETA: While I love the Pevonia mask I am not sure how effective it will be at getting rid of underskin bumps. My skin always responds well to AHA/BHA combination products when it gets a bit congested and bumpy. |

I exfoliate (scrub or peel) 2x a week. The last few times i put on a deep cleansing mask (or detox, or anti blemish) after the exfol. i very much liked the result : perfectly clean pores, nice glowing skin - i'm quite sure though, that it would be too much for sensitive skin types.
First I used up my samples of deep clensing products but now i use my regular size aesop primrose mask - and i really like it. yesterday it was the JB gr. apple peel+aesop combo => with absolutly no problems. I think i've never had such a nice skin before. |

I use a scrb every night in the shower, I then use a AHA MD product in the morning. I do facial masks, either asprin or clay mask three times a week. I do not have sensitive skin, so I never have a problem. I have noticed dramatic results in clearing my clogged pores since I have been doing this. |

I exfoliate weekly with baking soda and it seems to be enough for sensitive skin like me. |

I have oily skin, with open pores. I don't know if I can handle aha. Is using an aha the same as using a gentle exfoliating mask as far as trying to be gentle so as not to induce any broken caps or redness? Is bha gentler, and do you know of a good one? I have cellular skin rx refinishing serum but I stopped using it. It gave me whiteheads, (probably from cleaning things up though) and I thought I saw more caps then before I started using it. |
