This might be off the wall but do you think that people who read a lot (speficially using their eyes a lot) are more likely to get crow's feet early?
I've mentioned here before that I have premature wrinkling around my eyes at the age of 25. I'm starting to wonder (maybe irrationally) if my job is playing some role in this. I work as an editor and I'm literally reading all day, either from a computer screen or manuscript. My eyes never get a rest and often feel strained/tired. I don't squint necessarily, but I feel I overwork my eyes. I got an eye test to check things out, but my vision is actually fine.
The reason this has come to my mind is because I recently met with the editor of a local paper who I've been emailing with, and I noticed that, at the age of 27, she had the eye wrinkles of a 35-year-old. Of course this could just be a coincidence but ... I don't know, does anyone think I'm on to something? |

I can really only see this happening if you are squinting to read. People who don't squint while they are reading (I don't) shouldn't have this problem if there eyes are relaxed while they're doing it! |

I read a lot but don't have eye wrinkles. I know of some people in their 50s with no crow's feet. It could be hereditary. |

Sounds like squinting is occurring and some new reading glasses might be needed. Wrinkle relaxers will help relax those muscles, too, so you can't make the lines. |

I think you are squinting and you don't notice it. You could get Botox done. |
