Just noticed on my ever going search for a cleansing balm that Beautybible.com has 10% off at HQ Hair.

And Liz Earle is the today's special value on QVCUK.com...today!

If you sign up for the HQ Hair newsletter, every so often they send you codes aswell for things like free shipping, or sample packs with your order.

www.musthave.co.uk also a good site for offers every now and again.

I just got an email from musthave saying if you spend 35 pounds on REN products you'll receive a full size shower gel, either the multi vitamin apricot wash or the high altitude lavender wash free, worth 15 pounds.

I think I mentioned this in another thread, but I had a very bad experience with HQHair.

I have done a lot of online shopping over the past five years or so, however ..... well, suffice to say HQHair is the only site I would NEVER buy from again. Ever. Hell would freeze over first.

I've ordered a few times from HQHair and always received really great service from them, but their prices are expensive.

Well, it’s a long story but here’s a *brief* summary ...

HQHair shipped me one of those T3 hair irons which was completely non-functional and declined to replace it because, and I quote directly from their email, “we are not the manufacturers and are retailers” and “this matter is not in our hands”. (Even though I had offered to pay postage for the replacement!) According to HQHair, as “retailers” they have no responsibility for the condition of items sold, that this was the responsibility of the manufacturer or their distributors in the UK, and I should somehow chase these unknown parties up ... in the UK! (I’m in Hong Kong)

When I initially returned it they actually reposted the exact same hair iron back to me, refusing to even accept it as a return, let alone replace it.

I wasted hours of my time online researching UK consumer legislation and finally, after six months and many, many emails, got a refund of sorts, but it was a LOT of hassle. In fact I don’t care so much about the money, but I don’t appreciate being treated like an idiot and having my time wasted.

Just bear in mind when ordering products from HQHair that they are “retailers” only and, as such, in their opinion, have no responsibility for the condition of items supplied. So much for customer service ...

All I wanted was a T3 hair iron and instead I got six months of grief!!

Wow! I see why you're not very happy with them. I actually thought it was the responsibility of the retailers, but I might be wrong. Either way, that's pretty terrible customer service. Poor you.

I will never order from hqhair. I think that is terrible customer service, how can they not be responsible for the item when they sold it to you?

Yes, I was quite amazed by the whole debacle.

I'm guessing, and it's a guess only, that because they are not authorised retailers of that product that perhaps they source from some dodgy distributor who doesn't take returns/give credit for defective items ???
