Hi
I'm new to this forum, wondering if anyone has advice about mineral foundation. Is there a big difference between Bare Escentuals and Jane Iredale? I'm leaning towards BE as it's cheaper (that's the student in me talking!).

Also, can anyone advise on shades? I have fair skin with yellow undertones, and also prone to flushing and reddening Sad.

Cheers!

I myself had a reaction to BE minerals; I wore shade 1.2 and have light skin with neutral to yellow undertones with a fair amount of redness. I did do better with Jane Iredale pressed, no irritation or breakouts. I found the pressed minerals did not leave me with a shine like the loose did. JI Warm Silk is a pretty good match for me. Good luck!

Welcome to the board. Smile

You could do a search and find many feedbacks regarding B.E.

I myself have been using it since November last year and it took a little bit to get the right consistency is color but definitely no breakouts rather the opposite. I too have fair skin and tend to flush and redden. But give the search key a try.

Thanks for the advice SmileSmile! I found quite a bit of useful information by searching the forums.

Any advice on where to start with BE shades? I get the impression they're not ultra light in colour. Perhaps I'll try the 1.2 fairly light. I guess it's a bit hard to advise, really...

Yes, true since we can't really see your pretty face but perhaps you could call them and discuss it. I myself do use the fairly light with just minimal light.
