Hi All! I have been using the Obagi Nu-Derm system for about 2 ˝ months now. I had the Obagi blue peel 1 month after starting the Nu-Derm system. I had terrible acne breakouts and they haven’t gone away. Huge cysts mostly around my chin. I have been using the entire system with the tretinoin .05% at night. My new derm (not the one who prescribed Obagi) wants me to use Tazorac (Tazarotene) cream .1% instead of the tretinoin. Can I replace this cream? Will it work with Obagi? I have also heard I could use RetinA-Micro %.1. Please help, as every derm I go to is not very educated on Obagi. I want to continue with Obagi in hopes that I will get the results it promises but can’t handle this acne much longer. Please help! |

I did a cycle of Obagi about a year ago and Tazorac is what was prescribed by my derm at the time. Don't know why some prescribe this and others prescribe Tretinoin but I can say that the Tazorac did exactly what the system is suppose to do i.e. redness, skin renewal etc. so I wouldn't hesitate to change if I were you. |
